  • Great Vacation Home

"This townhouse is just as described - great layout, very clean and well furnished for our family of eight. It is truly a ski in and ski out location. The twenty minute walk to town was a tad difficult in the evening because of snow and ice build up. However, parking is very available in town and the free bus is close. Would definitely recommend this property. Plus, the owners were very pleasant to work with. Lovely."

  • Fantastic

"What a great place. We had 3 families (2 with multiple kids) stay last week and thought that it was beautifully furnished, had great kitchen (which was a great gathering point for everyone), and had a great location close to town and a few 100 steps away from a small river. Thanks John and Meg...we will be back!"

  • Comfortable, Welcoming, Dog-friendly, Immaculate Cabin in the Woods-- LOVED it!

"My husband, dogs, and I rented this cabin for several weeks this summer (2011). We rented it sight-unseen and were pleasantly surprised by the home. It was absolutely immaculate when we arrived. We are dog-owners so appreciate a place that is pet-friendly, but have also stayed in some places that appeared to be kennel-like and a little too doggy. Not this place. It was so clean and un-doggy! We felt so at home there and the owners treated us like family. We dealt with Jim and though we never met him, he was an amazing host. We ended up dropping some things off before we were technically supposed to check in and paying extra to extend our stay. The owner was accommodating, fair, flexible, and super-reasonable. Actually, he's the nicest owner I've ever dealt with from VRBO or any other place I've stayed. The cabin is incredibly well-equipped with all kinds of kitchen utensils, soap, toilet paper, band-aids, laundry detergent, cleaning supplies, you name it! We tried to replace everything we used but you feel like you're staying in a good friend's place that knows you well because every detail is covered. One night the whole neighborhood lost power but no worries- matches and candles were waiting for us in the pantry! Flashlights are in the night stands, binoculars are by the scenic window, etc. If you require the latest of home furnishings, granite counter-tops, and fully remodeled homes, this is not your place. But this wasn't a con for us at all- it is cozy, comfortable, and you feel like you're at your grandparents' or parents' home. We both felt at home from the moment we walked in. I'd absolutely recommend it to anyone who wants an escape from reality and a picturesque setting. We saw amazing wildlife: deer, marmots, mountain goats (completely white- they look like ghosts!), birds, chipmunks, etc. Actually, on the day we left, we saw 2 moose in the valley (Blue River)! The waterfall and lakes down the road are stunning. Well priced, warm and welcoming hosts, and an incredible place to rest and relax! We hope to go back!"
