  • Great Place for Summer Vacation!

"We came to Breck for 2 weeks in August to escape the miserable heat in the south where we live. There are lots of condos to choose from but we were looking for a condo located relatively close to town with a balcony, a view, and a fully equipped kitchen. This Four O'Clock Lodge condo ticked all those boxes and more for us. We weren't planning on having a car so it's nearness to town and being right on the bus line was perfect. We walked into town or rode the free bus wherever we wanted to go and never missed having a car. And the balcony and beautiful view of the mountains were great for reading or enjoying a relaxing lunch. Since we do most of our own cooking, we were glad to see that we had everything we needed in the kitchen. We were very comfortable in this condo and felt right at home. It has a "lived-in" feel--not in a bad way--like it has been used and enjoyed by the owners. This means that a few things could be updated or improved. But your enjoyment of the condo isn't affected by this. The condo is very clean and the furniture and bed were all very comfortable. The front of the condo faces the street and there is lots of great light from all the windows and the sliding glass doors. This is where the living area of the condo including the kitchen is located. The lower bathroom and master bedroom are located in the back of the condo. The master has two windows but is a little darker, perfect for sleeping. In the summer, you can sleep with the windows open and hear the creek flowing just beyond the complex--how relaxing is that?! There is also a loft area which is accessed from the living room which houses another full bathroom and several beds. Since there are only 2 of us we didn't use this area too much although having an extra bathroom can come in handy. I dealt with Jim, the owner, through emails and he was always very responsive and helpful with information. We fell in love with Breck while we were here and fell in love with this condo. We hope to be able to return in the future. Maybe next time we'll come for the winter."

  • Incredible North Breck views

"Rocky Fells was beautiful. The house finishes are all gorgeous, the configuration was great and the location worked well, too (easy 5 min drive to Breck or Frisco). The valley views are incredible and I found myself staring out the window constantly. The shuttle service was very easy and prompt and made skiing just about as convenient as a ski-in/ski-out property. I'm sure we'll be back to Rocky Fells the next time we visit Breckenridge!"

  • Awesome Place - If you like to ski this is your place !!!

"Just got back from a week at this place with a group of 20. The house is designed so that there is ample room for all and privacy for those who need it. The adults lived in the big room on the main floor and the kids all migrated to the downstairs game room with couches, pool table, and outdoor hot tub. The caretaker made sure that the house was fully stocked with wood for the fireplaces and if there was a question or any minor inconvenience it was quickly rectified. Ski slopes are a short walk away - getting into town was a snap. The Wi-Fi signal needs to be improved for this day and age but I am not sure if that's the fault of the house. If you were downstairs it worked fine btw. At the end of the week we took a poll of the 11 kids all aged between 10-16 and they all said it was the best vacation they ever had. I would have to agree. Kudos to Shane W and his team for making this an unbelievable experience for all ages. I wish I was still there."
