  • highly recommend it

"We were a large group of 13 adults and 4 toddlers. This place was exactly what we hoped for. Plenty of space and bedroom options. The Master and Queen rooms are huge and luxurious. The living space was great for everyone to hang out. Lastly, Teri who is the property manager was awesome. Very helpful leading up and during the stay. She even had a recommendation for child care on the mountain."

  • Great Ski Getaway

"From the time we got there until the time we left it was apparent that our indecision's to chose this place were not founded. From the brick fireplace in the middle of the living room to the vaulted ceilings to the 6 (we got 8 in it) person hot tub to the 3 bedrooms each with their individual bathrooms. We all realized this was the perfect place for us. The kitchen was setup perfectly for a nice 6 couple dinner coop. With 6 hands in the kitchen and a few bottles of wine, anything can be accomplished. If you are looking for a place where you can be slightly secluded yet close enough to the Gondola, this is perfect! Only thing any of us had complaints about was the lack of snow this year, 2012. I only hope the snow Gods will be kinder next year so that we can stay at Quicksilver again, but this time tear up some sick POWDER!"

  • Thanks Kathy

"In terms of the reviewer tips: YES to the accurate listing of the property location; PROBABLY to whether the photo accurately reflected the rental's appearance (we never saw the property from that particular angle. I'd have preferred a photograph that reflected better the property as you see it on arrival because finding it was a problem for us in the dark and we had real challenges opening the keybox; it really needs to be better lit); ABSOLUTELY YES the property was clean and well maintained; YES Kathy was extremely helpful in answering questions or concerns even though time zone differences sometimes challenged us; DEFINITIELY YES I would have no hesitation in recommending this property to a friend or relative; and as for nearby activities, attractions and restaurants, well you will see below we really came to ski/snow-board and for a "family reunion" however circumstances somewhat curtailed the scope of our activities. We ate out only twice: once at a chain restaurant (same as any other ... basically OK food and service); and once at the restaurant that is a boat .... it was nice food. Overall as non-US residents I am afraid generally we found the food anywhere/everywhere in the US too greasy, too sweet, just too much really .... we prefer more fresh fruit and vegetables, cooked simply and not processed or full of extra kilojoules ... this is not specific to Breckenridge of course! By the way we had NO CAR - never a problem for us OK so a bit about us and who we were that stayed in Kathy's lovely ski-chalet: me (Mum, skiing after a 20+ year break), two teenage boys (15 & 17, new to snow-boarding); my Dad and his partner Mary (both 68 and non-skiers). Me & my boys had travelled from Australia and we met up in Denver with my Dad & Mary who came from the UK ... hence the family reunion mentioned above. Why were our activities curtailed? Well, my 15 year old son arrived suffering from high fevers, a cough and sinusitis, something I had recovered from earlier in our 4 week stay in the US. Unfortunately he passed his germs first to his brother, then to Mary and finally to my Dad, so by about day 3 everyone except for me was house-bound and sick. So that leads me to commend the house for its lovely location, warmth and facilities ... the 4 of them were very comfortable. As for me, I enjoyed 6 days of superlative skiing and 4 days of very excellent ski school. I was also delighted to receive refunds on both for the boys' loss of snow-boarding. Tx :)"
