  • Wonderful home! Wonderful location!

"We just spent three nights at Briar Rose Lodge and couldn't be happier with our stay! The home is comfortable as well as beautiful. The living room fireplace and the ceiling beams on the upper level are something to see! The home was very clean and cozy. There were five couples in our group and we were easily accommodated between the six bedrooms and four bathrooms. The living room was large enough for everyone to have a seat to watch the Super Bowl. There area large windows in the living room too that are great to watch the morning sun and have a cup of coffee before you hit the slopes. And the oversized farm house table was a great spot for the meals. The kitchen was very well stocked and we didn't need for any dishes or utensils. There are almost two kitchens - one main kitchen and a separate counter area in the dining room which was great for putting out the buffet for our large group. The house is only a two or three block walk into town and the gondola. We walked into town on several occasions and some of our party walked to the gondola and others jumped into the car for the two minute drive to the lot next to the gondola. The hot tub in the back yard was a hit when we got back from the slopes. The yard looks like it would have been wonderful if we could have seen it - Breckenridge had record snow during our visit and the snow was a couple of feet deep! Couldn't recommend this property more!"

  • Spring Skiing

"We had a great time at Breck in March. Ski Watch 101 was a fabulous place to stay...truly ski in/ski out. We were even able to walk back up the hill to the condo after après ski at the lodge, and the slope side hot tubs were perfect to soothe tired legs. Malathy was just awesome in helping us with our ever changing logistics. I look forward to keeping in touch with her and planning our next trip to Ski Watch 101!"

  • Beautiful getaway

"Gorgeous home, high quality linens, even had soap, shampoo and conditioner like a hotel! Nice gas grill to use and the hot tub was a great treat. I highly recommend this home!"

  • JUST WHAT THE DOCTOR ORDERED!

"Experienced a wonderful week of R&R in this clean, tastefully decorated condo with a beautiful view. We were welcomed by a friendly bear holding our complimentary bottle of wine amongst a beautiful table setting with a moose theme. Everything was as described and the owners were very easy to work with, answering all our questions and even calling to make sure we loved it. Spent a lot of time resting on the balcony--soaking in the mountains, trees, hummingbirds, chipmunks, and feeding the neighborhood fox. Although foxy didn't seem all that hungry we got a kick out of watching it hide our treats in three different places. Loved hiking the Snowflake trail and ending up at the Sawmill Reservoir--beautiful scenery! Hiked the trail at Lake Dillon and enjoyed all the chipmunk activity there. And the flowers in downtown Breckenridge in the summer are beautiful! The food selection in this area is great. Where do I begin?! Surprisingly, one of our favorites was in Frisco at Carlos Miguel's. Their shredded beef Mexican dishes were delicious and frozen margaritas were some of the best we've had. Although we ate in their dining room, there is a happy hour with half price margaritas and appetizers in the bar only. Downstairs at Eric's is a must...we go for the garlic crust pizza but they offer a wide variety of good ole American favorites. Giampietro's is great for the Italian lovers, especially their pizza--restaurant is small, go early or call in to-go order or else be prepared for a wait but it is worth it. Crepes A la Cart, La Francaise Bakery, Blue Moose (serves breakfast food only but they're open til 1pm so it's great for a brunch), Columbine Cafe, Daylight Donuts, sweet potato burrito (enough for two people!) at Cuppa Joe, Blue River Bistro are all good. So many more we wanted to try but ran out of time! Darn, guess we will have to go back ;) Thank you David and DeAnna for sharing your condo with us. It was definitely more like a home than a rental. Hopefully we can return some day."
