"Boar's Nest could not have been a more perfect property for our vacation. The pictures just don't do it justice. The vistas from the house are phenomenal. No detail was forgotten in its design. All of the bedrooms are comfortable, the bathrooms luxurious. The living room and rec room are so inviting and comfortable and provide more than enough seating that you feel like you're in your own cozy home. The "theatre" was spectacular. I think if this was a ski trip we might have used it more, but that's our own fault. The kitchen is well-equipped with top notch appliances and accessories. Oh, and don't forget about the surround sound that is wired throughout the house, including the front deck and hot-tub patio! As for convenience to downtown, you are a quick walk up the hill to the gondola and free bus stop. Or it's about 3/4 of a mile downhilll to main street and then the free bus up the hill! I was here for a wedding with a houseful of friends and we all agreed we wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy more of the home. I would definitely rent this property again."

  • Local family

"We live in Colorado Springs, and I've been renting houses in Summit county every year since 1992 for ski trips with my kids, who are now mostly grown up. So, we've stayed in many different places. Usually we stay in town, because I like to be able to walk to dinner, etc. I was a little hesitant to stay in the Boots' cabin as it was a four mile drive to town, but in fact, I liked it very well, and will try to come back again if we can. Actually, the drive is quite short, and it was easy to park up on French, Ridge, or Harris streets to head over to Main Street, and the cabin is so much more spacious and nice than anything we could have found in Breck (at least on our budget). Skiing access is also easy. Simply park over by the Gondola, walk 50 to 100 yards, depending on how early you arrive in the morning, and hop on the Gondola. Convenient, easy. Much better in fact than waiting to catch a town bus from an in town house or condo. The beds are wonderful, the hot tub is great, the kitchen is very well equipped, really, outstanding. We had two of our three kids with us, and there would have easily been room for two more people (four nice bunk beds...nice bunk beds, suitable for adult size people as my kids are at this point) in the bedrooms, and there is a nice sofa bed in the living room, if you really wanted to sleep as many as possible. Finally, Sandra is very easy to work with, very prompt, business-like, friendly. In short, highly recommended. I've been tempted to buy a place up in Breck over the years, but have not felt energetic enough to deal with all of the responsibilities of second home ownership. If I did, though, I'd look for a place in Blue River laid out pretty much like the Boots cabin."

  • Spring Break 2015

"I've been to Breckenridge 4 times. 5 of us arrived for spring break. This place has everything you could want in a ski in/out vacation destination. Beautiful home, great hot tub, views, close to town and more. The owners were accommodating with our travel needs. If you're looking for a vacation destination in Breckenridge this is your place!"

  • Best house to Rent

"MTN Majesty: What a fabulous week! Aunt Molly treated the family to a week away in the Mountain Majesty. We traveled from Saratoga Springs, NY; Raleigh, NC; West Hartford, CT; and Denver, CO. We luckily had great travel weather up and then it immediately started snowing! We Got 30"+ in the first 3 days! The First day a few of us hit the slopes and we spent the day unpacking and enjoying the house. We ordered Fatty's Pizza and played pool! Sunday we hit the slopes again. 4 fresh inches. Coming home to make Lunch (Grill Cheese and tomato soup) tasted so great! A few of the non-skiers took the gondola up to Peak 8 to enjoy some beverages and check out the scene! Pre-dinner was a soak in the hot tub in blizzard like conditions followed by a great meal at Blue River Bistro! Monday AM we woke up to 16" of Fresh snow! Two of us hit the Slopes in the AM and then the family headed over to Good Times Adventures for Dog Sledding! What an amazing time! It was still snowing, the Scenery was gorgeous and the dogs were so great. We all took turns mushing and riding through the woods. It was amazing! We recommended it for everyone! Monday night we had some home-cooked dinner at home and played some games! Tuesday we woke up to another 13" of snow! Next we went back to 'Good Times' for a snow mobiling adventure! It was a perfect blue bird day. We took the two hour tour and had an amazing time. The views at the top of the Continental Divide were breathtaking. The trip was so fun! It was a great way to spend Christmas Eve day! We finished the night with an amazing dinner at Hearthsone. Everything was so delicious. Thursday- Merry Christmas! We woke up to a pile full of presents and had a great morning exchanging gifts and having breakfast. The skiers hit the slopes for a couple hours and had a delicious home-cooked Christmas ham and dinner. We took the 'Bonanza Trail' to downtown at night. So glad to have discovered those right across the street from the house! Even with all the snow, the trail was packed down and made for such an easy walk to town- dropping you off on Washington St. It is Saturday now, we are all just packing up and super sad to be leaving! It was an amazing week here in the mountains. The house had everything we could imagine, the town is a treat, and well, the beauty of Colorado is just amazing! We all Loved it and can’t wait to come back! Thanks so much for sharing your home, it is a slice of heaven! - Amanda, Aaron, Molly, Susan, Molly, and Phil>"
