  • New Year's Holiday

"Having stayed in the Aspen Core for the past 20 years, we were hesitant to stay 30 miles down valley. The drive to the slopes was no problem. We ate and shopped in Aspen, Basalt and Carbondale and enjoyed the diversity. As an architect, I appreciated the home's quality details and sensitive siting. The house has magnificent views of the Roaring Fork River with Mt Sopris in the distance. Our family enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub after skiing with fresh snow falling around us. We enjoyed the spacious rooms and numerous bathrooms not found in the "core". The migrating elk were an added feature. This is a very special property, well maintained and managed."

  • Summer Escape

"Aspen on the River was the perfect place to get away from our normally hectic lives, from passing the day away reading or napping in the hammock while listening to the crashing sounds of the Crystal River, to building a wonderful fire during the cool evenings. Truly the perfect summer getaway. Our host Charity was most gracious and made us feel so very welcome in her home. She ensures your every need is met – flashlights, fishing gear, even a warmer jacket on a chilly evening. Everything was there and available. The kitchen is stocked like no other place you will stay. She also knows the area like the back of her hand – waterfalls, hot springs, local eateries, you name it! Thanks again Charity!"

  • Fabulous!

"We had a wonderful time and the house was comfortable, spacious, and beautiful. We have been coming the the Ranch at Roaring Fork for years, we own a condo there and we love the property. Our trip was a family reunion of sorts and we needed some extra room, and this house was perfect. Both the owners and the property manager were friendly and quick to respond to calls and emails. We also thought that this house was an excellent value."

  • Lovely place, friendly hosts

"Fantastic place, great location. Very clean and we'll appointed. The hosts went out of their way to replace the grill while we were staying, they're so friendly. The deck has amazing views to watch storms move up the valley. Town is close by with many shopping and dining options. Thank you!"
