"We stayed in this condo for 10 nights in early April 2015 and were extremely pleased. The condo was neat and clean, no undesirable odors, no mold in shower, etc., and we found that the pictures we saw on the site did not do justice to the actual appearance and ambiance of the place. The kitchen is very thoughtfully and heavily stocked. There is a beautiful, peaceful view from the living room, kitchen, and dining room, of a grassy, tree-dotted common yard with the lake beyond. In the summer the lake view may be a little more blocked by trees, but the outdoor view and ambiance is regardless very, very pleasant. In fact, one of the outstanding features of this condo complex is that the buildings are surrounded by a good amount of grassy, treed area -- unlike most in the area that are surrounded by nothing but concrete and asphault. This unit is a ground-floor unit, which we appreciated more and more throughout the week. For anyone not familiar with the area, it may be helpful to know that this condo is in a simply fantastic location. It is right across the street from Lake Dillon and the lakeside playground and amphitheater. (...although the playground was closed for repairs/maintenance when we were there.) There is a lakeside paved walking trail one can walk right down to from the condo. It is also right in easy walking distance of a lot of little shops, a bowling alley, etc., which is a boon if you only have one car -- some can take the car for the day and others can walk to nearby attractions. There are even two quaint little thrift stores right across the street from the condo, which is great for finding last-minute items needed. Of all the towns we looked at staying in -- Dillon, Silverthorne, and Frisco -- to me Dillon is the most quaint and interesting -- with more of a mountain-town ambiance with little shops and things and a beautiful lake within view. Silverthorne is more oriented toward outlet shops, and Fricso seems to be a more "functional" town with a Walmart and such. Frisco and Silverthorne are both very close for access to the things they offer, such as the gold-medal trout stream in Silverthorne, but Dillon seems more choice to me for where to stay, as the lake there is the real visual centerpiece of the area. ...and this condo is right at it. Several noted ski areas are close by. Laundry facilities available in basement. Owner was pleasant to work with. My husband told me, "You chose well.""

  • What Really Matters

"I will let you read about the property qualities in all the other reviews - this one is about how we were treated when we had an issue with the house. About a day into our stay, we had a water pressure problem that turned into a complete outage the evening of the second day of our stay. Kevin the owner went out of his way to get the issue fixed and was in constant communication with us throughout. He paid extra to get people in on Saturday and Sunday and went out of his way to accommodate us while the problem was being worked on. When you are staying in this property, please take into account that you will get excellent service and full attention when you need something or when something goes wrong. And that's something that's just as important as the excellent location, the game room, Jacuzzi, view, and everything else this property has to offer."
