  • great home base

"Stayed here about 10 days and it worked out great as a home base for some day trips (Carbondale, Grand Junction, Leadville, Snowmass) Owners were easy to work with, gave us our privacy and were very kind. Place was a little small as listed, but plenty of room for the two of us, enough towels, basic kitchen and laundry supplies."

  • What a great stay!

"The Sunset House has got to be THE best place to stay in Glenwood Springs! John and Rebecca greeted us, helped us carry in our luggage, explained the mechanics of the house then were off to allow us to enjoy the place for the week in privacy. The house was clean, comfortable and very accommodating. The views from both patios were great, but the one from the upper deck is spectacular. The house is walking distance from nearly all of the great bars and restaurants as well as the giant hot springs pool. It was only a 7 minute drive to Hanging Lake Trail, which was a highlight on the trip. White Water Rafting was incredible as well. We loved Glenwood Springs. If we ever make our way back, we have no doubt where we want to stay. Wifi, laundry, showers, A/C (swamp cooler), and electronics all worked great. There is a nice sound system that plays throughout the house, so bring your iPod. We loved our time in Glenwood Springs and can't say enough positive things about our experience. The house definitely contributed to our enjoyment. PS - I've read some comments about the stairs. The stairs may be a bit much for the elderly or handicapped but are definitely NOT an obstacle for others. They did not cause any inconveniences at all."

  • So much fun

"Thank you Mary and Terry for a great labor day weekend. Your school house is great. We loved the great big room with kitchen. It was great for kids. Our grandson loved getting the chicken eggs and he loved your "rent a dog" that slept with us one night. We listened to bugling elk and watched flocks of geese fly on and off the pond. We hiked and made "smores" outside on the grill. Thank you so much. We had a wonderful time."

  • Fantastic!

"This place was excellent. We were a group of 8, and spent our New Year's here. Couldn't have asked for a better house. Spacious, comfortable and stocked with everything you need. One of the very few places on VRBO that is better than described. Thanks Sarah for letting us stay at your house....we had a fantastic time!"
