  • Awesome house

"My family and I loved the house. The layout is great. It was very clean and the view was amazing. My kids enjoyed the hot tub and game room. I was pleasantly surprised with the DVDs, books and games available for our use. The location is also a plus, only minutes to some great restaurants. Will definitely stay there again."

  • Great time at Wunderview

"Had a great time at Wunderview. The house is very nice and comes fully equipped for everything you'll need. It is truly a home away from home. Full BBQ grill, fully equipped kitchen, canoes, bikes, etc. The porch was one of the key items for us; it was a good place sit and sip coffee on the cool mornings and just as good to sit and sip a glass of wine in the evenings. Our kids enjoyed feeding the chipmunks and ground squirrels right from the porch, so bring plenty of peanuts. Owner was extremely helpful before and during our stay and gave good advice on things to do, and the area has plenty to do for everyone. We took 2 trips up into Rocky Mountain National Park and saw so many deer, elk, and moose we lost count. Plenty of good hiking trails too. If you want to rent a boat for pleasure stick with Grand Lake. If you prefer fishing Lake Granby is the better choice. We spent one day down in Winter Park and had a great time with all their summer activities. Thanks for a great summer vacation."

  • Silversage 3 delivers as advertised

"Silversage 3 is located near the highway with very close access to nearby attractions, a grocery store and hospital. Skiing, restaurants, and unlimited outdoor activities are available nearby. The house is comfortable and suited for large groups. The photos accurately depict the house, and the property management company was available to answer questions via phone and email. There are beautiful views west, north and east. Overall, I recommend this house for rental in the area. Shortcomings and inconveniences include: The kitchen lacks counter space, which can make cooking for large groups challenging. The photos show blue tape on the floor in the kitchen, which appears to be an outline for an island. This island wasn't installed as of our stay, but I strongly recommend the owner undertake this addition. The kitchen needs something to fill that space (which is currently an awkwardly large open area, perhaps suitable for dancing), and the extra cooking/staging/prep area would be INVALUABLE. The air hockey table in the basement blows so little air the game is nearly useless, and the puck strikers are badly damaged. We were unable to use this game effectively. The recliner in the basement is badly damaged and cannot recline safely. The only flat panel, HD TV in the house is located in the living room. Many of the bedroom TVs are old CRT type and have very poor picture quality. There are no DVD players, but the TV in the basement (also old school CRT Zeinth) does have a VHS deck, and the home has several VHS titles. Comcast is the cable provider. Bottom line, this house is great for groups, but could use a few updates. If you're active and don't plan to spend too much time in the house, you won't be as bothered by the limited shortcomings listed above. However, if you're planning to watch a lot of TV or DVDs, cook large meals frequently, or otherwise spend full days and late nights at the house, check with the property manager to see if the owner has had a chance to update features."

  • We loved this spacious, clean Ski-in/ski-out Family Friendly Condo

"With friends, family, and now my 7 year old daughter I have enjoyed skiing and snowboarding for decades. But after countless vacations across the rockies, Canada and Europe (Chamonix to Brasov), I never appreciated how convenient a true ski-in/ski-out property can be. This Granby unit/building was designed to be easy access from the slopes, yet it was up the mountain and away from the main lodge - so it was quiet and private. As an end unit, the living room featured wrap around views of the slopes, main lodge, and ski school area (great instructors for the kids)! Same with the master bedroom's full hot tub... a great view as well. No, this is not a garden tub you fill up yourself and "enjoy" some weak jets, this is an actual hot tub with real pressure to loosen the muscles after a day on the slopes. Between the humidified air from the tub, gas fireplace, and built in radiant heat (in the walls!) it was cozy and warm even well below freezing. Although the lodge bar and restaurant were busy with a great menu, we didn't bother with waiting as our full kitchen was stocked with our favorites. Anything we were missing we could find at the nearby City Market, a full supermarket (Kroger-owned?) not just a corner store. Again the convenience of coming right off the slopes into your own kitchen cannot be understated! It saved so much time and money compared to fighting the crowds in the lodge and loading up the cars at least twice daily. Further, the lift ticket pricing compared to neighboring resorts (Granby is located between Winter Park and Steamboat Springs) makes it a true bargain. My 7 year old daughter also enjoyed access to the heated swimming pool in the main resort facility near the entrace. Snowman building materials were free, also a highlight for the youngsters. I would highly recommend this particular unit for the reasons above, and the fact that the owners clearly love this as a home with personal touches throughout. It was well maintained, clean, and spacious given the smart layout. Roomy bathrooms/kitchen, and the photos from the listing don't do justice to the wrap around view from the sunken living room. Kids will love the modern flat screen TV - but it won't be hard to pull them away from it when the snow starts falling or the summer breeze calls them for a bike ride or hike in nearby Rocky Mountain National Park. We are coming back for more spring skiing and hope this one is available next time!"
