  • Great rental, roomy house near everything

"We rented this cabin for a week, 3 families for a total of 4 adults and 5 kids. There are two bedrooms on the bottom floor, 2 bedrooms on the main floor (as well as kitchen, living and dining room) and 1 bedroom in the loft. The place is very roomy, and we never felt cramped in together like sardines. Most of the kids slept up in the loft, as there are a couple of air mattresses to augment the actual beds. The deck has a BBQ grill as well as patio furniture to unwind and take in the views. The rental is in a great location, overlooking the lake and entrance to Grand Lake. It is also close to ATV and horseback locations, as well as the entrance to the National Park. We saw plenty of wildlife, and though we weren't in the woods a bear pooped outside my bedroom window(we took photos and researched what animal it was :D). The only minor inconvenience that we had was that there was no trash can for the kitchen. We looked around the house but couldn't find it anywhere (there is a huge can in the garage for all your trash). That being said, it wasn't bothersome enough for me to break my vow and get online to get the owners phone number. Other than that everything was great. We would definitely rent this property again."

"I am a VRBO regular. And I have to say that our stay at Twin Pines was the BEST EVER! First in meeting Kami, setting the scene for a friendly and comfortable level that just continued through our stay making us all feel like we were "home" in the mountains. Then to follow... an adventure that will stay in many hearts and memories for a life time. My daughter was getting married in Estes Park and we used the cabin for our family to stay before and after. We saw a mother moose and her baby walk through the property, elk surrounding the area, deer bouncing across the roads, fish jumping and even a bird (not sure what kind) swoop down and catch a fish. Our out of state visitors were very impressed... little did they know we were too. :-) The large dinning room table was the place of great card games, wonderful food, and smile inducing laughter. The adjoining living room area...a place of deep conversations and a place I often found myself just sitting in the great leather chair, eyes closed... listening to all the happiness. It rained most the time we were here. No worries... in between the rain all the lake goers ran outside and still canoed, kayaked, paddle boated and paddle boarded. The grand kids went on adventures (fairy house, interesting rocks, and made sand castles on the beach). Others went for bike rides, hikes.... and when the rain came back in... we were all around the table again... playing and laughing, cooking and singing. One night... it was a perfect night for a bonfire... we all surrounded the fire under the incredible stars and sang and enjoyed each other-family. :-). One song, my niece sang (a Celtic ballad) quieted the entire lake... as I sat with my sweety in the chairs on the dock-holding hands, the water still and glassy, everyone in all the other homes around the lake became still.... and her voice blanketed the entire night... it was just her voice and the stars. People cheered for her to continue. It was a time I will remember forever! I could go on and on about this place. It is a place for anyone that is looking for magic! It's a place to come together and enjoy what matters in life...FAMILY! I will come back again with my family...DEFINITELY! I almost didn't want anyone to know how great this place was so we could enjoy it all ourselves... but I couldn't. :-)"

  • Relaxing Getaway!

"We have been staying at this Cabin for years. This home is beautiful and cozy! The views are simply stunning! It is located right by the town. Whether you want to sit and read a book, or get out and hike, you are surrounded by the beautiful mountains! We cooked meals in the fully equipped kitchen as well as enjoyed eating out in the town of Grand Lake. Many great restaurants to choose from. We happen to love Sagebrush BBQ. We enjoyed walking through the shops and playing at the park. We highly recommend staying at this cabin! It's a relaxing getaway for 2, or the entire family. Can't wait to go back!"

  • Wonderful stay!

"My friends and I had a wonderful time at the Great Retreat. It was spacious and had a great kitchen for us to gather. We were close to town and snowmobiling rentals."
