"We spent 2 nights with 4 adults and 2 grade school age children in the cabin. We enjoyed the space very much. We were able to see a young fox who visited us on the back deck one morning. We spent most of our time in Grand Lake where we were able to see bull moose roaming through town! We would recommend this cabin - keeping in mind that all bedrooms are upstairs. It has a great layout. Thanks for a great stay."

"This log style cabin nestled in the foothills just below the entrance to RMNP and just above the quaint town of Grand Lake, was absolutely perfect for our family of four. The view was absolutely amazing despite the rainy weather. The back deck overlooks the western edge of Shadow Lake and encompasses Grand Lake beyond it. Then Mount Baldy, snow-covered and majestic, rose above the green foothills. The picture window allowed us to see this view at all times and the deck was large with seating, a table, a wood chop block and a fire pit and grill. We were given access to all this as well as the interior which was comfy, cozy and clean clean clean. Everything we needed was there except our groceries and clothing. We had an easy hike to the town on the first day (about 20 minutes if you don't stop to take pictures!) and we enjoyed the exploration of all the great local shops and restaurants. The next few days we spent canoeing and hiking up the trails to Lone Pine Lake and Adams Falls which I highly recommend. We borrowed the raincoats hanging in the closet which we didn't know we'd need! Thank you Lois, for thinking of everything. We slept so well each night because the beds were more comfortable than our own at home! We also "paid it forward" with a few items of groceries since we used a few things from the fridge and pantry. We played some of the board games, worked on a puzzle, watched a movie and made s'mores in the fire pit. These Texans can't wait to go back and I wouldn't hesitate to book this cabin again.
As mentioned by others, you can hear the cars go by on the two-way highway but it wasn't bothersome and I was amazed at how private and remote we felt. No one else was near our cabin or behind us. We saw deer in the yard and a chipmunk one morning. My teenaged children were very happy there, also. I would not recommend the cabin for someone who has difficulty maneuvering steep steps."

"My family and I spent Christmas in your lovely cabin. It was absolutely beautiful. We were far enough away from the neighbors to enjoy the seclusion, but close enough to area attractions to take part in many activities. The cabin was lovely and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Dealing with the owners was easy and they responded to our questions promptly. I would recommend this cabin and hope to stay there again."
