Recent River Run, Dakota Lodge reviews

  • Dakota Lodge

"The facility was close to everything we needed. Ski rental, day care, children's ski school, mountain access, etc. The grandkids wished the pool and hot tubs were indoor, but they enjoyed them anyway. The unit we had had wonderful views. It is starting to show a little wear and tear but fit our family needs perfectly."

  • A great family vacation

"Our young family of 4 stayed here before the official summer season and had a great time. What sold us was the location just steps from the pool and spas. There are many trails nearby and several fast flowing creeks. The owners are very helpful and responsive."

  • Great stay at a comfortable condo for the summer season

"My wife, 20 yo daughter, and I just returned from a great stay in River Run village. This condo is very nice and I would highly recommend it to anyone. Very nice view from the west facing balcony. Both beds were very comfortable. They even had a slow cooker in the unit - first time I've ever seen that and was a welcome change as we cooked in a couple of nights. My family likes it that we are close to everything in River Run. I would not hesitate to book this unit again."

  • Great recommendation

"Manager suggested this condo when another one we wanted was already booked. Nice and roomy condo and excellent location right off the elevator! Could not navigate all the remotes linked to the TV, etc, despite the instructions provided, but we didn't need to watch TV anyway! 2 king beds very roomy and comfortable/clean. Location was handy for catching shuttle but this was also a draw back on the morning we wanted to sleep in -as the bedroom windows are located on the street/parking lot side. Not a big issue and would definately stay here again."

River Run, Dakota Lodge Travel Tips

Dakota Condos Are in Prime Skiing Territory

Keystone's three mountains have slopes for all levels of skiing. However, the characteristic that differentiates Keystone is the night skiing. The great thing about Dakota condos is that after a day on the slopes, you can relax as if you're at home rather than being confined to a hotel room. You can enjoy the amenities of a kitchen and help yourself to coffee and meals when you wish, and you can plan your skiing schedule without being limited to hotel hours.

Shopping Is Close to Your Dakota cabins

In Keystone village, ski and snowboarding shops abound, all within walking distance of your Dakota cabins. There are a number of small shops, including the Emporium in Main Street, which is full of interesting antiques and items to look through. Another shop worth a visit is Rattlesnake Jake's. Meet Old Rattlesnake Jake and see his baby rattler in a box.

Dine Out in Keystone or Cook a Meal in Your Dakota Condo

Although your Dakota cabins are near some wonderful restaurants in many styles of dining, it is less expensive and sometimes more convenient to eat in. These Dakota condos will allow you that freedom. When you feel like eating out, some recommended restaurants include Keystone Ranch, Alpenglow Stube and Der Fondue Chessel. A unique dining option is a meal during a horse drawn sleigh ride, which leaves from Dercum Square.

There Are Plenty of Activities for All in Keystone

There is plenty to do in Keystone, from ice and snow sports to wine tasting. In summer, the two championship golf courses are a drawcard, and mountain biking, horse riding, fishing, and hiking are great in the warmer months. Keystone vacation rentals are located near many attractions such as Mount Rushmore, Custer State Park, the Crazy Horse Monument, Black Hills Central Railroad, and Rushmore Cave.
