"We stayed in this condo for 10 nights in early April 2015 and were extremely pleased. The condo was neat and clean, no undesirable odors, no mold in shower, etc., and we found that the pictures we saw on the site did not do justice to the actual appearance and ambiance of the place. The kitchen is very thoughtfully and heavily stocked. There is a beautiful, peaceful view from the living room, kitchen, and dining room, of a grassy, tree-dotted common yard with the lake beyond. In the summer the lake view may be a little more blocked by trees, but the outdoor view and ambiance is regardless very, very pleasant. In fact, one of the outstanding features of this condo complex is that the buildings are surrounded by a good amount of grassy, treed area -- unlike most in the area that are surrounded by nothing but concrete and asphault. This unit is a ground-floor unit, which we appreciated more and more throughout the week. For anyone not familiar with the area, it may be helpful to know that this condo is in a simply fantastic location. It is right across the street from Lake Dillon and the lakeside playground and amphitheater. (...although the playground was closed for repairs/maintenance when we were there.) There is a lakeside paved walking trail one can walk right down to from the condo. It is also right in easy walking distance of a lot of little shops, a bowling alley, etc., which is a boon if you only have one car -- some can take the car for the day and others can walk to nearby attractions. There are even two quaint little thrift stores right across the street from the condo, which is great for finding last-minute items needed. Of all the towns we looked at staying in -- Dillon, Silverthorne, and Frisco -- to me Dillon is the most quaint and interesting -- with more of a mountain-town ambiance with little shops and things and a beautiful lake within view. Silverthorne is more oriented toward outlet shops, and Fricso seems to be a more "functional" town with a Walmart and such. Frisco and Silverthorne are both very close for access to the things they offer, such as the gold-medal trout stream in Silverthorne, but Dillon seems more choice to me for where to stay, as the lake there is the real visual centerpiece of the area. ...and this condo is right at it. Several noted ski areas are close by. Laundry facilities available in basement. Owner was pleasant to work with. My husband told me, "You chose well.""

  • Wonderful Place - Wonderful Stay

"I'd actually give this four and a half stars, because no place is perfect - but this one came as close as anyone could ask for. It's location was ideal being close to both the town and RMNP. The view would get more than five stars - absolutely gorgeous. The unit was comfortable and peaceful, with all the creature comforts of home. We enjoyed our time inside as much as we did outside. Our main reason for our trip to Grand Lake was to go up into the park to watch the elk and hear them bugle. We weren't disappointed. We also saw three moose together the first night in the park. We also hiked up to Adams Falls and spent time in town. It was a wonderful stay and I hope to stay here again."

  • Highly recommend!

"We have been staying in condos or homes in Mountain Side for the past 3 years. This house was the best. The owners were very responsive. The house was clean and updated. The access to the best hot tubs in Frisco was easy - just across the street. We had up to 8 adults during our stay, and it was fine. Central to all the major Colorado ski resorts in the area."

  • Clean, convenient and at the right price!

"We took our family of 5 up to Winter Park for the weekend, and this condo was perfect. It's ground floor on the corner near the creek. It's about 3 miles from the main resort and about 5 minutes max from the main area of town where all of the popular shopping and eating locales are located. The place was clean and stocked with what we needed. If you go up in warmer weather, there is a picnic table right outside by the creek to enjoy meals or morning coffee. We did find ourselves wishing for an extra table chair like another reviewer, but that was certainly not a detractor! Robert was friendly and accommodating, and we'd definitely rent again. Thanks!"
