  • Lovely Steamboat Condo

"Very clean, well-kept, modern townhouse located within walking distance of the gondola (approx. 10 min). The unit was equipped with all the extras that are typically required when renting a condo: basic cooking oils & spices, blow dryers, laundry detergent, shampoo/conditioner/body wash, extra towels, etc. The owner was a pleasure to deal with and extremely responsive to our questions and needs."

  • Unique Townhome

"I stayed at this unique townhome for 10 l days in late June 2009. I've been visiting Steamboat for many years, and have stayed at many different properties. This property was by far one of my favorites. Decor is refreshingly modern (definitely not the boilerplate faux western or ski chalet motif you find most places) and exceptionally comfortable/functional. Unit was well-maintained - spotlessly clean. Kitchen was well equipped, including gas BBQ grill on patio. Enjoyed the sound system that allowed me to play music from my ipod and listen to Steamboat's great radio stations. Internet Wi fi connection was fast and reliable. Big screen TV was sensibly situated. The last 2 places I stayed, the TV's were mounted over fireplaces (too high). You'd get a crick in your neck trying to watch TV. Speaking of fireplaces, there was a fireplace in the living room and the master bedroom - a real luxury as far as Im concerned. Full size washer/dryer allowed me to pack light, just washed frequently. Beds (mattresses and linens) were extremely comfortable - slept soundly. Location is ideal. Easy walk to the ski area for hiking and resturaunts (I recommend Slopeside Grill) and to the recreation path that runs through town. There is a two car garage, but a car is not essential if you stay here. Bus stop is 2 minute walk. Buses are free to ride and although they only come by every 20 minutes, they ran with the precision of the trains in Japan. I turned my rental car in after the first few days. Even without a car, the garage is useful for securely and conveniently storing bikes and other outdoor gear. Two potential negatives. First, there is no swimming pool. This is not a big issue for me as I prefer to go to the pool/hot springs at the rec center in town anyway. Some units do have hot tubs. The other potential downside for some guests might be the stairs - you cant avoid them. Again, this wasnt a problem for me and I suspect it wouldnt be for most visitors to Steamboat. However, dont bring Grandma along to watch the kids while you're out having fun unless she's comfortable with stairs. Similarly, if you have toddlers, the stairs might be an issue - they aren't toddler-friendly stairs. Having said that, the people in the unit next to me had young kids, and I never heard any ambulances. Nevertheless, I wouldnt find it relaxing to stay here with a toddler. Highly recommend. Would definitely stay here again."

  • Awesome Trip !!

"Our group absolutely loved this property. The townhome was even better than expected, roomy with privacy and incredibly equipped with anything and everything we could possibly need. The place was absolutely spotless and in brand new condition including the massive hot tub that we used every day. This is the second year that we have booked with Christian at Simply Steamboat and we couldn't be more pleased with his communication, suggestions and follow up. We will and have already reccommened this property and Christian to our friends and neighbors. A definite five star plus !!! Also, the walk to Gondola square is a beautiful start to the day and a quick bus ride if you are tired after a day on the slopes. No problems!!!"

  • Spring Break to Remember

"Our family was fortunate enough to stay at this property with my sister's family last week for our first "family ski trip to the mountains". This property did not dissapoint! I have stayed in steamboat 5 times over the last 10 years and this is one of the nicest properties that I have rented. Kim has covered every detail. The property is extremely spacious with 4 fantastic levels. It has all the comforts of home and she has added a decorators touch on each and every floor. The arrival and departure instructions cover every detail and she was kind enough to offer up many great ideas for our families that can only come from years of experience in steamboat. I would definitely recommend this property to a friend (already have) and will likely come back to rent myself in the years to come. The kids had a blast in ski school and can't wait to come back. Thanks for sharing your beautiful home with our families! Auburn, AL & Brentwood, TN"
