  • Lovely Nature and Family Time

"We just spent a wonderful 5 days at this rustic cabin. We have 2 little kids and a dog and everyone enjoyed themselves. The wood burning stove kept us cozy for the first snow, the kitchen had everything we needed and the view was AMAZING. Our 3 year old loved exploring the the woods behind the cabin and we had a pretty wicked game of soccer out front. We can't wait to come back and try out what could be the perfect sled hill! The owners have clearly put a lot of time and love into the cabin. It was neat and clean. Don't miss the sunrise on the deck with a hot cup of coffee or hot cocoa! We will certainly be back."

  • Excellent service from Retreatia - Nice Lodging

"Our family traveled almost 1200 miles to ski at Steamboat. We could not have been more pleased with the view from this unit. In my mind, it is one of the best in the building. In the afternoons we took full advantage of the wrap around balcony porch to unwind with a stunning view of the slopes. We could watch skiers jumping on the steeps as well as enjoy the night skiing lights. The ski-in ski out is not exactly what we imagined. The weather was unseasonably warm while we were there so much of the ski- in path had melted making it more like a hike with our skis. By weeks end we chose to ski out in the mornings and take the shuttle back in the afternoons. The ski -out is very short and very accommodating in the morning when people like to leave at different times. The unit itself was super clean - EXACTLY like it was pictured. There are laundry facilities on the bottom floor. We slept 8 very comfortably there for 6 nights. In addition to providing our family with a great stay - Retreatia coordinated a fantastic deal for us on lift tickets which they had waiting for us when we checked in. Our first day on the slopes was maintenance free. No lines - no waiting..... made for 6 very happy kids! On our next trip to Steamboat - my first call will be to Retreatia. Thanks so much for the fun family memories!!!"

  • What a lovely time!

"My family and I have stayed at this property twice now. There are only three of us, so this place feels very spacious. There is a queen size bed in the main bedroom; a full size and very comfortable sleeper couch in the TV room, and a small single sleeper love seat. You could easily sleep five folks in this place if you needed to. There are plenty of extra pillows, sheets, blankets etc. which is really nice and allows everyone to have what they need to get comfortable at bedtime. I also love how stocked the kitchen always is. We came in late at night last year in the middle of a snowstorm and we were all very hungry. There was an assortment of goods to hold us over until the morning. I thought we had gotten lucky, but this year when we arrived, it was the same. In general the kitchen is better appointed than most places I’ve stayed, including accommodations at a much higher price point. Just about every condiment or herb you could possibly need is provided. I know this seems like a trivial matter, but when you’re staying for several days, it’s really nice to know that you won’t have to season each meal with only pepper and salt. This property is in a nondescript apartment complex with views of the mountain and is three minutes from downtown Steamboat. The place itself has really been spruced up since our last visit. It was nice to begin with but it is clear that the owners have really tried to go the extra mile to make the place feel comfortable and the unit as a whole has a very nice feel to it. It’s a little modern, a little quirky and everything you could need in a vacation rental. There is internet service, cable TV, Netflix and a gaming console, all very easy to use. The place is always stocked with firewood and kindling and a little fire easily gets gets the place nice and toasty. The door is code entry, so no one needs to worry about losing the key or having the family “key holder” present to get in. There is also a washer and dryer in the condo. I remember reading a review that said that the owners where not very responsive to communication. This has not been my experience. In fact on one occasion, when I sent an email requesting information, I received a pleasant and extremely prompt reply from each of the owners, Roni and her husband Andrew. In addition to their personal reply wishing me a pleasant stay, they included extremely detailed instructions on how everything in the condo worked as well as information about Steamboat in general."

  • Terrific place - stay here!

"Spent 6 days here during July. It exceeded our expectations. Most fully stocked kitchen I've ever had in a rental condo! Sat out on the decks, watched TV, walked a few blocks up to the Gondola Transit Center and hopped a bus downtown, even baked bread. Steamboat is so much fun in the summer - we didn't run out of things to do. Kim and her crew do a great job. Highly recommend staying here."
