  • Great house for a Vail ski trip

"I rented the house for a 4-day ski trip with friends. There was more than enough room for 8 of us and we had a great time in the house...grilling, relaxing in the hot tub and enjoying the common areas. Great place for a Vail ski trip!"

  • Wonderful Ski Rental

"We rented John's house for a week-long ski trip in February and I would highly recommend this rental. The house is comfortable, well-furnished (and great if you have a large group of single friends or families with kids where you need some "non-couple" bedroom arrangements), has a well-equipped kitchen, wonderful hot tub on the deck and sauna in the garage. It is located in a very lovely, quiet neighborhood with some great mountain views. No car needed as house is right on the free bus route - very convenient (we only used a car once to get to the grocery store which is also on the bus route but on the other side of town so nice to have the car for our one big grocery run). Was also easy to walk to some hiking/cross-country trails nearby on a non-ski day. John was very helpful with answering questions about the house and other information needed about Vail. Given all the nearby hiking, I think it would be a great rental in the non-ski months as well. Would also recommend some very good restaurants in Vail -- Sweet Basil, Pepi's, La Tour, and Lancelot in Vail Village, and Tavern on the Square in Lionshead."

  • Great House for Family Reunion!

"Our large family had a great time at this large, comfortable home in E. Vail. It is near a bus stop, so even w/o a car, Vail activities are accessable. With 8 adults and 3 little children, there were plenty of beds. (We turned the "Media" rm into a kid's bedroom using the blow-up mattress and 2 Pack-n-Plays helpfully supplied by Todd, the owner. Thanks Todd!) The open, comfortable main floor offered lots of space for "together time" and the upper and lower sleeping areas supplied privacy (and nap quiet) when wanted. The house is literally beside/under I-70 (w/ all its truck noise) but with the stream literally outside the back of the house (and in full summer run-off) we never heard any road noises at all. I imagine this would also be true in the winter, if the stream supplies even a slow trickle. The kitchen is well appointed w/ dishes for 8 and dining chairs for 6. (We just gathered other small chairs around as needed.) All appliances were in good working order, though the dishwasher did not seem to be well-anchored under the cabinet and we often found the door wanted to drop open between washes. The upper master bed mattress was a bit sloppy, but was much improved once we turned it after the 1st night. The hot tub was a hit for all, and was in great working order, and Todd was very accommodating to work with (esp. in supplying baby equipment for us. Thanks again, Todd!) We all had a great time, and look forward to another visit."

  • A great family home!

"We had a wonderful stay over the Christmas holiday in this great family duplex. Not only is this unit roomy, but it has two separate sleeping areas and can accommodate two different families. We had adult single men and adult single women and each had their own separate wing. The home is comfortable, exceptionally clean and in an easy location for getting to the ski mountain. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need for cooking and there are two living areas plus a play room! Tim is easy to work with in booking and was delighted to give any information regarding the area. I recommend renting and enjoying this wonderful home!"
