"Excellent house in east vail. 5 bedrooms gives you plenty of room - and comfortable couches to relax on at the end of the day. Excellent dining table - we fit 11 easily around it. We used the shuttle to ski at vail - that is nice - runs all day and late at night. We had a great time there skiing and boarding this past weekend . Also excellent hot tub to relax in after burning the legs all day. First time at this house - we recommend it."

  • Great Place for Family Getaway!!!

"My husband and I just got back from a fantastic time with our family in this wonderful home, with our three daughters, two sons-in-law and grandson. The house was incredibly spacious, had great bedroom privacy and plenty of bathrooms for all of us, was very clean and well-maintained, and had what was a huge benefit to us--that my daughter's two dogs were able to be with us. The kitchen had awesome appliances and everything we needed to cook several meals; the dining table extended to fit the whole crowd very comfortably; and we were able to get in great visiting time because the kitchen, living room and dining room are all visible to someone in any one of those rooms. The location is excellent--very quick drive or bus ride into Vail, easy access to excellent hiking trails, convenient market just blocks down the road, and easy access to I-70. Tim was very professional and easy to work with, and provided great back up info in case anything went wrong--but we had no need. We will definitely be back!"

"We are so grateful this beautiful home was available for our Vail family vacation last week. A few of our kids had never been to Vail and your home was perfect for our entire family! We really enjoyed the large kitchen area and it was great having plenty of space to share meals together. We had great fun playing games around the big table during the evenings. The house is large and spacious, yet comfy and cozy! After the days activities, the hot tub was a bonus! The shuttle stop was close and convenient and it was also nice being near the park. Great memories for all of us!! The neighbor was super nice and recommended a hike and few places to visit that we hadn't been to in the past. We enjoyed every bit of our stay! This is a lovely home and we hope to return and use it again some day!! Thank you!"

  • Everything you need including great location

"We stayed here 2 weeks in late summer with our three children (7, 5, and 3 yrs) and another family with kids (6, 4 yrs). The owners keep the house well stocked with every supply you could possibly need and it's obvious that they care about their hosting duties. Tons of cleaning supplies were helpful! We cooked a lot on the gas grill (there was also an extra tank when we ran out) and used the bikes and frisbees provided in the garage. We rented kids bikes in Vail and hiked the 5 miles on the Gore Creek Trail to Vail Village with my younger ones in a jog stroller (rode the bus back). The small grocery store close is about 50 yards away and they have a well curated selection of food, meat, produce, eggs, etc. You could easily feed yourself from this grocery store if you are without a car but we drove 10 minutes to the Safeway for big trips. Beds and linens were very comfortable and there are many sleeping options with the loft beds and bunk room. We enjoyed the oscillating fan in our room as the nights get quite warm in August. Location is so convenient to Vail, Lionshead, Breckenridge, Avon, and Beaver Creek. Thank you Grohdals! We loved it and we would definitely stay here again!"
