  • Conveniently Located Updated Condo

"The condo is very conveniently located just a short walk from the Lionshead ski school, lifts and gondola, so great for families. It is in a dated building that is showing its age but the unit itself has been recently and nicely renovated and is very clean and comfortable with a good kitchen. The unit was well stocked with all the needed kitchen items from cookware all the way down to ziplock bags. Other items such as tissues, shampoo, lotion etc were also provided so not having to carry or shop for these for a weeklong stay was great. The owners were very helpful and left us good information on all the systems. We had a small problem with a locked door and they took care of it right away. I would recommend this unit for its location, great owners and overall comfort. Other than laundry facilities and a ski locker by the lifts there were no building amenities/conveniences such as a pool (there is a pool but it was closed) but the unit had a small sauna (we did not use it). Bottom line it's a nice unit in a no frills building but it did the job for us."

  • Great rental

"Spent 4 days at this property over Spring Break. Very nice rental, particularly for the price. The condo was clean, well-equipped, and very comfortable. Best of all, the access to Lionshead is ridiculously easy. We stored our ski gear at Vail Sports Arrabelle...so everyone could come and go at their own schedule to start and finish our ski days. Simple 3min walk back to condo. Walk out the door and hop on the bus to the Village if you want. For a family with kids 10-14 y.o....it was great to have so much flexibility. Furthermore, we accidentally left some items in the unit and Christy W. was very responsive helping us get those things back. I'd recommend this rental without reservation and I'm sure we will try to return."

  • Great Easter vacation in Vail!

"We have stayed at Lion Square Lodge several times, but this is the first time we chose a place using VRBO. There were 6 of us traveling together, and this small basement apartment was cozy yet comfortable for all of us. The owners, Katherine and Dennis, were very responsive and flexible. That really meant a lot to us! We had absolutely no issues, and you just can't beat the location at Lion Square Lodge. You step outside and are at the Eagle Bahn Gondola. You are also walking distance from all the great shops and restaurants in Lionshead. If you are looking for a great location at a decent price, you should definitely consider this unit!!"

  • Very nice with some disappointments

"The condo was very well furnished with only a few exceptions. Beautiful kitchen with a great Wolf stove. Wine cooler was a plus. Beautiful living area with fireplace, but the fireplace didn't work. There was a note saying parts were on order, but for the price, that was rather disappointing. You expect a fireplace on a ski vacation and they made sure the fireplace was prominent in the advertisement pictures, but nothing was mentioned at any time about it not working. This condo is not quite ski in/ski out, but the short walk was truly short. The location of the condo made the ski storage service less convenient than carrying our skis to the condo. The front desk was very helpful whenever needed and started our trip off with a personal guide to the parking spots and into the condo. They also helped in directing the Black Tie ski rental guys to our condo. Lighting in the bedrooms was dim at best. The one room with pull out couch and trundle bed was not well thought out. There was no way to pull the truly comfortable trundle bed out to make a full size bed since the heavy couch was in the way. The couch pull out bed was too thin to be at all comfortable. Since I stayed in that room by myself I was fine on the trundle bed without pulling it out, but you should get rid of the couch. Maybe replace it with a upholstered chair or love seat. One of the three lamps in that room had the switch broken off and without that lamp it was pretty dark."
