"We rented during the off season, we just wanted to get away at the last minute and take a trip up to the Mt's. The location was good, it was not to far from Lions head and their was a bus stop very close by. It was dog friendly and the dog park is a short walk and was nice, it also had a great park for our two year old daughter. The kitchen had just about everything you might need, the beds were pretty firm and the pillows were ok, and the bathrooms were nice. The couch in the living room was pretty bad and had only about 2 seats that you sit in comfortably, it was a pull out and on the pull out cushions you sunk about 1' lower than the rest of the couch. Over all we had a great weekend and the place was clean and nice."Guest: dwd77 Date of Stay: September 2014 Review Submitted: September 29, 2014View listing
"My husband and I really enjoyed our stay in West Vail. This property was very spacious, easy to find, a great value, and located within easy driving distance to Vail, Avon, Edwards, etc. The kitchen and main room were absolutely amazing. The hot tub was nice on cool nights after a long day hiking. There are quite a lot of stairs, but it makes the house have views on all levels. This property has been well loved. We did have an issue upon check in but the owner was responsive. The issue was not fixed during our stay, but I am confident it will be corrected. Overall a nice experience"Guest: Erica F. "This very cozy condo was perfect for our needs as my family took our first trip to Vail. With 10 and 12 year old children, playing in the snow in the background was enough. But the hot tub and views of Gore Creek and well-stocked kitchen and access to everything else we wanted made the trip perfect. Everything posted by everyone else is accurate. The owners take great pride in this unit, as it is not only updated, but impeccably maintained. The fireplace and wood, hand-warmers, and even a bottle of wine really made this place much more comfortable and welcoming than any hotel room would have ever been. Location across from the bus stop and close to shopping were also very convenient. We hope to return someday!"Guest: jason w. "We were a group of 6 staying in this house for a ski trip. The house was exactly what we needed. Great amount of space, inviting and comfortable home, beds for everyone, easy access to skiing (the bus stops are right by the home and driving takes just a couple minutes if you choose to do that instead), stocked kitchen and grill, a private hot tub, and minutes from the supermarket for shopping. The creek runs right through the backyard and gives you a nice feeling of seclusion even though there are other houses around. The owners are also very nice and extremely accommodating. Everything was as advertised and we had a great trip. We'd be happy to stay here again next year!"Guest: Keah Date of Stay: March 2014 Review Submitted: March 31, 2014View listing
West Vail Travel Tips
Take Your Vacation to West Vail Vacation Rentals
Vail is probably best known for its unparalleled skiing and snowboarding. However, each season in Vail brings new and exciting attractions for vacationers. No matter which season you decide to vacation in Vail, you want the best West Vail lodging to make the most of your stay. Lodging at one of the West Vail vacation rentals is your best option because these rentals provide much more privacy and space than you would find at a typical hotel.
Vail Winter Wonderland
You must try skiing and snowboarding if you are visiting Vail in the winter. Vacationers often bring their gear when staying in one of the West Vail vacation rentals but you can rent gear from Ski Depot Sports or another shop if you prefer. One unique way to tour Vail's breathtaking landscape is a nighttime snowshoeing tour. The nighttime tour by Moonlight Snowshoe Tours allows you to learn about Vail's nighttime wildlife and see the area in a new way.
Plan an Adventure
Plan a kayaking or canoeing excursion during your summer stay at one of the Vail cabins. These excursions allow you to tour the area's rivers while marveling in the beauty of the mountainous landscape. If you prefer to create your own kayaking tour, you can first take kayaking lessons from Alpine Quest Sports and then hit the river to begin your adventure.
Melt Away Your Stress
One of the best ways to relax after a few hours on the slopes or after a kayaking trip is to dine out for a great meal and a few drinks. Popular restaurants include Bistro Fourteen and Game Creek Restaurant. Of course, if you want to stay in for the evening, you can cook your meal at your West Vail vacation lodging destination.
