"Really nice condo located in the heart of Vail Village. Steps to gondola, shops, restaurants/bars, après, you name it - no car needed if staying local. Very responsive owner, all standard supplies provided and in excellent order (kitchen, linens, towels, etc). Clean, aesthetically pleasing. A bit small overall (cozy if you like), but true to pictures and description - would definitely stay there again! Great for family of 6, if all grown adults consider capping at 5 just due to living room space...but who stays inside for very long at Vail?!"Guest: Tim Date of Stay: March 2014 Review Submitted: April 2, 2014View listing
"This was a lovely two bedroom condo that was a superb place to escape the arizona heat. The place was upscale, clean and very comfortable. The beds very very comfortable...important for our aging backs When I return to vail, I hope to stay here again."Guest: Linda M. Date of Stay: July 2014 Review Submitted: August 19, 2014View listing
"This condo was perfect for me and 3 teenagers. The loft is very spacious and the extra bathroom was big and very nice to have. Being on the bus line was perfect. We got off across the street so almost last on, first off. It was nice to have the grocery in the building. I had a dinner party one night for 12 and we fit very comfortably. Bathrooms are newly renovated and kitchen is well stocked. The space lives large. Highly recommended!"Guest: Marla G. Date of Stay: March 2014 Review Submitted: March 26, 2014View listing
"We just returned from staying in this great condo! We had an awesome week! The location is perfect! The condo has everything you could possibly need. It is very well decorated and extremely comfortable. The view of Gore Creek and the ski mountain is incredible. My husband and I were there with two of our sons ages 19 and 24. The living room, kitchen, and bedroom are all very spacious. There is lots of closet and drawer space. I loved being able to unpack everything. Having two bathrooms was great for the four of us. The condo is located on the main floor as you come into the building. It has a great ski storage area right next to the door of the condo. We actually used this to store our ski cases. Our family (mainly me) decided that we would rent a locker for our skis and boots right at the base of the Gondola. That is because I am a little wimpy about walking in my ski boots and carrying my skis. The walk from the condo to the Gondola in my regular shoes was great! The parking garage and the laundry room are very conveniently located. I highly recommend this condo. I hope we have an opportunity to return."Guest: Lynn Y. Vail Travel Tips
The municipality of Vail, Colorado, was originally built as a base village for the Vail Ski Resort but has since grown to become a popular mountain getaway. While the town experiences warm summers, the winters are cold due to its Rocky Mountain location and receives an average of 200 inches of snow per season - making it a ski haven.
Blue Sky Basin is an expansion of Vail Ski Resort and features chairlifts taking skiers and snowboarders up Vail Mountain. This natural ski experience boasts a 1,900-foot vertical drop with wide, clear-cut runs. The mountain has more than 5,200 acres of downhill and cross-country trails and is considered one of the best in the world.
Vail isn't just for winter vacations, you can also stay when the weather's warm and check out Gore Creek Fly Fishing. Guided fly fishing trips are available and a trip will take you down numerous rivers including Eagle River, Gore Creek, the Colorado River, the Roaring Fork River and the Yampa River. Fly fishing in Vail is some of the best you can find in the area and is an ideal activity for families and friends visiting the area.
Adventure Ridge is open during summer and winter and offers several activities fit for the whole family. There are also hiking and mountain biking opportunities as well as scenic views. Take a scenic gondola ride up the mountain and gaze at the views along the way. You can go tubing in the winter and zip line in the summer. The ZipLine features four lines that are 1,200 feet long and send you flying through the air at 10,000 feet. There's also a kid's zipline for young thrill seekers looking for adventure during their stay in Vail. Kids also have access to a climbing wall, rebounding trampoline and a ropes course made just for them. Other winter activities at Adventure Ridge include showshoeing, snowmobiling and ski biking.
The Betty Ford Alpine Gardens are the world's highest botanical garden with an altitude of 8,200 feet. The gardens are open year round, but you'll want to visit during the warmer months of the year for peak flower season. When you visit the gardens you can see innovative exhibits, programs, interpretations and media. You will get to see the Children's Garden, Schoolhouse Garden, Mountain Perennial Garden, Mountain Meditation Garden and the Alpine Rock Garden.
Explore your surroundings with a walk on the Vail Recreation Path. This 15-mile paved trail takes you throughout town and is located parallel to the golf course. There are 35,000 acres that surround the path.
