  • Eagle-Vail condo

"My sister and I met in this location for a week's vacation with our families. It is an equal distance drive from LA and St. Louis, where we each live. The house is very spacious and was comfortable for 4 adults and 3 kids (3.5, 6 & 7). The aspen grove out back was a perfect place for the kids to play wiffle ball, ride bikes, skateboard and play on the rope swing, while the adults could relax on the back deck. The pool was really close and very nice (please note that it is not free and can get pricey with a big crew for multiple days). Eagle-Vail is just minutes from Beaver Creek and Vail so there is tons to do. In addition to a couple of pool days, we went hiking, river-rafting, fishing, shopping, etc. The owner was very responsive when we had questions and they clearly keep the place clean and in order. We were disappointed that there was no grill but the local Home Depot has inexpensive charcoal grills that foot the bill. The water pressure in the showers is a little like the three bears--one is a trickle, one is just right, and one is a blaster, but that is no big deal. There is a smart TV so you can watch your Netflix or Amazon Prime accounts, which was a great addition, especially when we needed to entertain the kiddos in the evenings. There is also reliable wifi, which we appreciated. The owner's restaurant recommendations were also good--Henry's Chinese Café and Pazzo Pizza filled the gaps when our Costco supplies ran out. Safeway is also only about 10 minutes away. This is a great place to stay in a great location. We can't wait to go back!"

  • EXPERIENCE A VAIL SUMMER

"The skiers are gone and the parking is free and this is a good location to enjoy the cool and mostly clear weather from May to July. This is a Good to Excellent condo for a short skiing trip as the beds are comfortable with good coverings, the kitchen is stocked, the TV's work and the unit is clean. And the fireplace heats up quickly. We spent 8 weeks in the condo from the end of May to the end of July partly recovering from surgery and partly enjoying the Town and mountain activities. We had time to see a few issues that over time arise such as crowded closets, cluttered cabinets and drawers, older bathroom fixtures and an uncomfortable sofa. The Kitchen is well equipped and everything works. We also enjoyed the Weber charcoal BBQ complete with charcoal and lighter fluid. It was easy to walk to Lionshead in 15 minutes or take the occasional shuttle. The Owner is very responsive and indicated that he would visit and take care of several things we pointed out when we left. The pictures in this listing of views from the balcony are a little misleading as the most prominent sight is a condo building across the street."

  • Very Nice Spot!

"Very convenient to Vail Sandstone bus stop. We used the private locker at the base of Gondola One - which is awesome! It makes the walk between the base and the transit station SO much better. The value of the locker is worth at least $50 / day. We had two adults and two kids and the space worked well for us. Bedroom and hideabed provided sleeping for 4 people. This condo is on the first floor so there was just a very short flight of stairs which is nice so you don't have to carry equipment up and down stairs.. We didn't hear any noise from the other units."

  • Great stay.

"Tom and Eileen's beautiful home was the perfect place for my family to stay in Vail. It had all the comforts we had hoped for and a fully equipped kitchen that we made full use of. We would come to stay here again in a heartbeat."
