"We had our kids and grandkids get together for Thanksgiving here, and had a fantastic time. The home is beautiful, and the views out over the town of Winter Park were tremendous.
In our case, we had five grown kids there, with spouses, and a couple of them with kids. The home allowed everyone to have their own space, privacy when they needed it, enough quiet for small kids to nap or accommodate early bedtimes, while the adults stayed up as late as they wanted. The common space was beautiful and practical, allowing for everyone to be together when we wanted without feeling like we were walking all over each other.
The deck was wonderful, though we didn't get to use it much since it was cold and snowy while we were there. Often times, we've experienced properties that bill themselves as complete, with everything you need, but then you show up and find they are missing basic necessities. This was not the case here -- the description was spot-on, and they truly were fully equipped and ready for a large family to move in for a few days. It's right in Winter Park, so it's a very short drive over to the Safeway in Frazier for anything you forget.
Parking is somewhat limited in winter, so take that into consideration if you plan on more than 4 cars. (We made it work, but it took a bit of shuffling occasionally. Not a negative, just a consideration, and in our case made worse by the fact that two of our vehicles were large diesel trucks that needed to be plugged in.)
As for customer service, Linda was outstanding to work with, and a perfect hostess in every way. There were excellent instructions for operation of things like the hot tub. We hope to make this work out as a vacation we repeat in the future."
