"My wife and I stayed in this cabin over President's Day Weekend 2015 as we skied Winter Park. The cabin is just as great as the pictures. It had a roomy living room with gas fireplace, table for four, and a nice sized bedroom. The kitchen was very well stocked with most useful items, ie crockpot, very good non-stick cookware, toaster, spices, a coffee grinder, etc. We lacked for nothing in terms of cookware. And the fridge had an ice-maker, something many VRBO properties seem to not have. The cabin also had numerous books, games, and DVDs. The bedroom mattress was firm, which is a preference of mine.
The cabin was clean beyond belief. We enjoyed the front porch, using the gas grill one evening which was also very clean. The cabin is so very well decorated, and you seem to notice something new each time you enter.
If you ski, this property is located on the south side of Winter Park closest to the ski area, about 2 miles to Winter Park Ski Area, and perhaps two miles north to the Safeway in Frasier (get groceries at the Safeway, normal 'grocery' prices). It was a short mile or so drive to the main street of Winter Park, but you have the feeling of being secluded in the mountains. And, there was no train noise which can be a problem in Winter Park.
The owners are super nice folks that live next door. They even accepted delivery of some flowers for us for Valentine's Day and brought them to the cabin. The booking process was so easy, and we simply paid when we arrived.
There is no washer/dryer or dishwasher. But, maybe we shouldn't worry about doing laundry...and how many dishes can two people really dirty. I don't really care to use a dishwasher anyway. And, neither of these should be a deal-breaker!!!
The price is right, and the cabin is perfect. I wouldn't consider shopping for another property should we ever return to Winter Park without the kids. This will be my first call."
