  • The Best Family Place to Stay in Winter Park!

"We were blessed to find this house 2 years ago when we were at Winter Park. We knew that this was where we wanted to spend another family vacation in Winter Park. It is absolutely the best - the Arapahoe National Park is their backyard!!! I have 12 grandchildren with different interest. (We brought 7 on this trip.) Some loved the skiing slopes. Some loved hiking the trails behind the house. Some liked tubing. This house has it all! It is wonderful that there are sleds and a toboggan provided to house guest! There was plenty of firewood. There were an abundance of ice skates, but the ice rink was closed for the season. The house was clean and well-stocked. The master bedroom is sufficiently warmed by the heating system, even though we sleep with the thermostat at 64. There is plenty of covers if ones want to sleep warmer. It is one of the most beautiful places on VRBO."

  • Julie, Colorado

"Our family rented this house for a long weekend. There were 7 of us and it easily would have accommodated several more! All families were able to enjoy not only their own bedroom but also their own bathroom. There are also two large living areas, a spacious dining/room kitchen area and a deck with a nice grilling area. The kitchen has plenty of storage, a large refrigerator, and a wine cooler as well. Tim was fantastic to work with and we hope to be able to enjoy this property again."

  • Great location, great deal!!!

"My parents, my wife's parents, and our kids (three generations) stayed here over the 2014 Christmas Holidays, and the house suited us perfectly. From the time we arrived, we felt right at home. There are three bedrooms and two bathrooms, a living area with fireplace, and kitchen (well stocked, lots of counter space) on the main floor and a second living area (with fireplace) along with a third bathroom and bunkroom downstairs. And, although the hottub is outside downstairs, it is merely one step to get indoors frrom the hotub to dry off versus a chilled dash for the indoors. The kids loved having their own area downstairs, with bathroom, as they weren't overly involved with all the college bowl games in the upstairs living area. The home is about a mile from the main street of Winter Park. It's on the south side of Winter Park, closest to the ski area, which is perhaps two miles from the town of Winter Park. And Safeway was to the north about two miles from Winter Park. We were dropped at the ski area most mornings, but took the shuttle home. If dropped, I highly recommend being dropped at Mary Jane for a short 30 yard walk, vs Winter Park, which was about a 5 minute walk. We took the shuttle home, which drops you a mere 120 steps (yes, I counted) from the driveway, perhaps a 30 second walk. And, the house is on the 'front end' of the brownline, perhaps the 6th or 7th stop, about a 15 minute ride. We had use of the garage, which easily accomodated a Suburban, and was a plus to keep our skis in the 'cold' at night. And a washer and dryer meant we were able to pack very light, and simply do laundry mid-trip. The home fronts the National Forest. On walks, my father-in-law got pictures of several moose. We had winter storms almost daily, but the roads and driveway were kept clear. We had no issues getting to and fro town. And, some properties mention railroad whistles at night...eight nights and we never heard a train. The home was built in the 80s or 90s, but was clean and perfect. Wi fi worked without fail. Newer properties carry much higher rates, and this had all the comforts of home. Minor cons, only one king bed, everything else a single or bunk. And hot water can be limited if several showers are being used all at once in the AM. The best feature, the owners who were in constant contact, helping us with local intelligence, and just ensuring we were having a great time. Hands down, a great property to rent. Thanks Greg!"

  • An Escape from the Real World

"Mark's cabin exceeded our expectations! The pictures don’t do it justice! My family takes an annual ski trip. Typically we choose a cramped ski-in and ski-out condo. This year we went out on a limb and chose to stay farther from the ski lifts in order to have more living space for our long weekend. BOY WAS IT WORTH IT! All 14 of us slept in an actual bed. The kitchen counter space and fridge were big enough to accommodate our coolers and groceries. The kitchen table is enormous and perfect for playing cards. The family room recliners were perfect for reading magazines. The vaulted ceilings made all of us feel tiny and cozy. The views are majestic from every angle of the house. Mark’s cabin is the perfect spot for everyone in the family. Driving and parking to Winter Park Resort took all of 5 minutes and there were plenty of parking spaces all weekend long. We went tubing in Fraser and it was crazy-fun! We could see the tubers out in the distance from Mark’s back porch. It took less than 2 minutes to drive over there. The little kids in our family skied Grandby Ranch. Tickets were inexpensive and the resort is lovely. My mom and I even drove to Grand Lake one day, ate lunch, and walked the shops. We have decided to make Mark’s cabin our annual vacation stop. It’s our home away from home! Can’t wait until next year."
