  • Excellent Stay! Highly Recommended!

"As advertised! Well appointed, awesome views, steaks on the grill, stargazing and watching groomers on the mountain from the hot tub! Bring a car - not super convenient to ride the shuttle, especially with little ones in tow! Instead, drive over to Mary Jane early and get yourself a snow-front (free!) parking spot and you'll have ski in/out convenience just like the locals do! As an expert-level snowboarder, I feasted on powder in the woods at Mary Jane, achieved warp speed on the front side of Winter Park's fresh corduroy, and enjoyed a tasty beverage on the deck when my legs could take no more... Less adrenaline-addicted family members enjoyed the views and all-ability access of the Parsenn Bowl, and the beginner-friendly terrain found throughout the resort. A word of warning to my fellow 'flatlanders': Expect moderate to severe altitude sickness! If you live near sea-level, even climbing stairs will leave you breathless for a couple of days. Tough it out, and you'll be rewarded with a skiing/boarding trip to remember. No Pain, No Jane!!"

  • Great weekend stay

"We stayed at this property for 2 nights. There were 2 families with 3 kids each ranging in age from 2-16. The space was perfect for all of us and the kids were in heaven with all the amenities. We usually stay at the Zephyr Mountain lodge when we go to Winter Park for the ski in/ski out access but those units are MUCH smaller than what we experienced at his property. Plus, the parking pass made up enough for the ski in/ski out bonus. Maggie was also very professional and easy to work with. My only complaint was that we couldn't stay longer!!"

  • Winter Wonderland Experience

"Comfortably appointed. Super functional. Conducive to rest and relaxation. The kitchen was used to prepare some of the best meals I’ve ever ate while transfixed on the panoramic view of Winter Park’s glorious mountains. The entertainment system was all that, when the snow, wind and temperature kept us in. We loved it. It was like being in Paradise. Try it you’ll like it."

Getting the best of the season

There are a variety of things to do at Winter Park, although obviously the best reason for choosing a Lakota lodging is the proximity to the skiing. The slopes will often be literally minutes away and are suitable for all skiers, no matter how inexperienced you may be. If you are a beginner, choosing Lakota house rentals is ideal because there are a range of skiing lessons offered on site, for adults or children. There are also plenty of experiences to witness, from professional races to seasonal events. One thing's for sure - with Lakota house rentals, you won't run out of things to do.

What kind of experiences are available?

Securing a Lakota lodging will also give you great access to the exciting range of events offered. If you would like some time away from the slopes, you can go on a guided walking tour of the mountains and the surrounding area, or even hitch a ride on a Snowcat vehicle that will take you to your destination. For a romantic experience, why not take a trip for two to a log cabin where you will experience fine dining and the views of the region in all their glory?
