  • Excellent place to stay for a family!

"The townhome is clean, furnished nicely and so beautifully quiet. We took several walks along the path that runs behind the unit and along the Blue River. Every window has a view of surrounding peaks or the river. The beds were comfy and the garage was a nice bonus. We will definitely return!"

  • Thanksgiving / Ski Trip

"We had a great 7-day stay over Thanksgiving week. For our party of 3 adults and 2 kids, the space was very comfortable, and not too large. It can accommodate 2 more adults if one doesn't mind sleeping on a sofa. After having stayed in another condo in River Run more recently, and having a less than pleasant experience there, I wanted to come back to this listing and review our great stay here. I feel that VRBO travelers rely very much on reviews when making our selection. The condo is very nicely furnished and clean. Everything in the condo was just as pictured. The cleaning ladies were still there when we arrived, but that is OK, they were doing a very detailed job. Kitchen is equipped with all cooking utensils, pots, pans, even seasonings. Our boys (ages 9 & 11) loved the "den" sleeping area up the ladder. We skied every day - drove to River Run Base Area & paid for closer parking. If you don't have kids, you can probably walk to the gondola, but be prepared for a long walk. I am guessing about 20-30 minutes, which is not bad if you're not carrying skis and walking in ski boots. Overall, great stay. Our Chihuahua and Pomeranian loved it too. Thanks for letting our furry friends come along with us on vacation. Highly recommend."

  • Awesome place!!

"This was my first visit to Vail and I couldn’t have asked for a nicer place. It’s just a short drive to Vail village and the slopes. This place is amazing and the views are incredible throughout the day. As you walk in the house you are greeted by a spacious living room with a beautiful floor to ceiling fireplace. It felt like a home away from home. The hot tub was the best part after a great day of skiing and is very spacious. This house is well taken care of and will be a wonderful addition to your stay in Vail. We plan on returning March 2015. Thanks!!!"

  • Great Place! Great Kitchen! Great Owner! Great Location!

"Six of us spent several days in this home on our annual ski trip to Snowmass (our favorite ski resort) and were absolutely thrilled with the accomodations. We are foodies (son is professional chef) so the kitchen accruments were very important to us and the pictures did not lie; we had all the tools we needed. The location is easily accessible to the slopes (a short drive or inexpensive cab ride). The owners were SO accommodating. We usually stay within easy walking distance from Fanny Hill, but no more. This is place is worth the short drive around the corner to the slopes. We will absolutely stay here next year for sure!"

Northwest Travel Tips

Northwest Colorado Lodging for Expansive Western Adventures

Come enjoy the expansive western landscape of Northwest Colorado and experience the local history, cultures and wildlife. Northwest Colorado lodging is ideal for the avid hunter, explorer or even the family looking to experience the historical influences of past outlaws and homesteads.

Choose Northwest Colorado Lodging and Schedule a Big Game Hunt

Even if you’ve never been hunting before, you’ll love a weekend of capturing elk and deer near your mountain cabins in Colorado. Experience them in their natural habitat, and learn new skills in the process. Special hunts are also organized for kids only and first-timers to teach basic safety procedures that are so important. Send them off for a few days while the adults enjoy activities at the many resorts in Colorado, too.

Take a Wild Horse Tour near Mountain Cabins in Colorado

Experience the wild horses that live in the plains surrounding your Northwest Colorado lodging by scheduling a special tour the entire family will enjoy. Spend one day or several camping in the open lands near the mountain cabins in Colorado, and take plenty of photos to remember your adventure. Day tours, in 4x4s, designed to see the horses are also quite popular for a simple change of pace from the everyday resorts in Colorado.

Unique Resorts in Colorado Offer Access to Working Ranches

If you love to always be busy while on vacation, stay in Northwest Colorado lodging options that place you in the middle of a working dude ranch. Feed the horses and clean stalls, then round up the cattle with the other guests who are staying in mountain cabins in Colorado.

Family-style dinners can be included with some packages, so you’ll enjoy meeting with other guests. After a few days of hard work and fun learning experiences, you can return to your choice in resorts in Colorado for plenty of pampering and relaxation during the remainder of your vacation.
