  • Spacious and comfortable, close to resort

"This is a lovely town home that is spacious and comfortable. There are tons of windows that let you enjoy the plentiful Colorado sunshine. The master suite on the top floor is expansive. The bedroom on the main floor and the bunk bed room are a bit tight on space, but the spaciousness of the rest of the home makes up for it. The kitchen is big and stocked with plenty of dishes and silverware. We like to cook, and found it a bit thin on basic equipment like a large pot, chef's knife, measuring cups and spoons. (Although there are two microwaves, two toasters, and plenty of luxury appliances like a blender.) One call to Brad and he came by in less than an hour with the things we needed. Now that's customer service! We also enjoyed the pool and rarely had to wait more than 3 minutes for shuttle service to the mountain base. We highly recommend this property!"

  • Best place we have stayed in

"The cabin is beautifully decorated, elegance, privet and extremely comfortable. We stayed in many cabins and vacation rental. This one is absolutely the best we have stayed in. We loved our evening playing games in front of the fire place and in the hut tub watching the starts. Our stay in this cabin will be a long-lasting enjoyable memories. The owner is very professional and honest. What you hear is what you get. No hidden surprises. Thanks for sharing it."

  • Comfortable, clean & beautiful views!

"This condo was a great value since it was not very expensive but had everything we needed and was very clean upon arrival. There was a wood burning fireplace which we loved, a comfy king bed, wi-fi, hot tub and was in a great location. We walked to dinner a few times and enjoyed the walking path. Also, the views were incredible! We enjoyed the new furniture - was nice to see that. We will definitely be back."

  • Slice of Heaven

"The minute you walk into the main living area~ you can feel your heart rate (my blood pressure) go down. The view is spectacular! You have a front row seat of Mount Sopris. It was very tough to leave the house most days. Sitting outside on the covered porch with a constant breeze and a cup of coffee. Loved watching the rainstorms pass through. Everyday the view was different~ simply magnificent! We slept with our door open in the master suite each night. Our children (12, 9, and 3) took over the downstairs. There is so much room to spread out and TV's in each room~if needed. They loved the hottub and the second floor porch with the chair swing as much as we did. We saw lots of wildlife too! One of our favorite thing were the movie nights. All snuggled up on the sofa with the huge drop down screen and surround sound! Loved having the choice of Netflix and from Itunes. Having the kitchen right close to the living area was so nice for me as well. We love the little town of Basalt! Great food in that area! Our reason for staying in that area is to be close to Aspen and Glenwood Springs~ both being about 25-30 min drive. The home was stocked with toilet tissue, paper towels, dish soap, washing det, spices, coffee, sugar, soft towels! Lourie, responded right away when we had any questions about the home. We could text or call her and she was just a doll to work with! We came to her home for rest. And left two weeks later rested in our hearts and body. Thank you Lourie, for your kindness and opening your "Slice of Heaven" to our family. Much Love to you and we will return!"

Northwest Travel Tips

Northwest Colorado Lodging for Expansive Western Adventures

Come enjoy the expansive western landscape of Northwest Colorado and experience the local history, cultures and wildlife. Northwest Colorado lodging is ideal for the avid hunter, explorer or even the family looking to experience the historical influences of past outlaws and homesteads.

Choose Northwest Colorado Lodging and Schedule a Big Game Hunt

Even if you’ve never been hunting before, you’ll love a weekend of capturing elk and deer near your mountain cabins in Colorado. Experience them in their natural habitat, and learn new skills in the process. Special hunts are also organized for kids only and first-timers to teach basic safety procedures that are so important. Send them off for a few days while the adults enjoy activities at the many resorts in Colorado, too.

Take a Wild Horse Tour near Mountain Cabins in Colorado

Experience the wild horses that live in the plains surrounding your Northwest Colorado lodging by scheduling a special tour the entire family will enjoy. Spend one day or several camping in the open lands near the mountain cabins in Colorado, and take plenty of photos to remember your adventure. Day tours, in 4x4s, designed to see the horses are also quite popular for a simple change of pace from the everyday resorts in Colorado.

Unique Resorts in Colorado Offer Access to Working Ranches

If you love to always be busy while on vacation, stay in Northwest Colorado lodging options that place you in the middle of a working dude ranch. Feed the horses and clean stalls, then round up the cattle with the other guests who are staying in mountain cabins in Colorado.

Family-style dinners can be included with some packages, so you’ll enjoy meeting with other guests. After a few days of hard work and fun learning experiences, you can return to your choice in resorts in Colorado for plenty of pampering and relaxation during the remainder of your vacation.
