  • Excellent Stay! Highly Recommended!

"As advertised! Well appointed, awesome views, steaks on the grill, stargazing and watching groomers on the mountain from the hot tub! Bring a car - not super convenient to ride the shuttle, especially with little ones in tow! Instead, drive over to Mary Jane early and get yourself a snow-front (free!) parking spot and you'll have ski in/out convenience just like the locals do! As an expert-level snowboarder, I feasted on powder in the woods at Mary Jane, achieved warp speed on the front side of Winter Park's fresh corduroy, and enjoyed a tasty beverage on the deck when my legs could take no more... Less adrenaline-addicted family members enjoyed the views and all-ability access of the Parsenn Bowl, and the beginner-friendly terrain found throughout the resort. A word of warning to my fellow 'flatlanders': Expect moderate to severe altitude sickness! If you live near sea-level, even climbing stairs will leave you breathless for a couple of days. Tough it out, and you'll be rewarded with a skiing/boarding trip to remember. No Pain, No Jane!!"

  • Convenience at a good price.

"Stayed here with a few friends and there are more than enough places to sleep. The condo is beginning to show its age, however the property appears to be excellently maintained. The place was very clean and everything was in order for our stay when we arrived, and it was nice not to have to check in with anyone, just show up when we were ready. While everything we needed was there, some of the cooking utensils should be replaced, one of the showers does not work very well and the dryer takes multiple cycles. It is easy to overlook these minor details however, as it is truly ski in, there are great views, and the gondola and main street are walking distance, if you don't feel like waiting a couple minutes for the shuttle right outside the door. I imagine it would be crowded if you had 10 people but for a mid size group it works perfectly without breaking the bank."

  • Wedding Week with Friends and Family

"We rented this property for the entire week prior to my sons wedding and invited our family and good friends to join us. In a word, it was perfect. The photos don't do justice to how really beautiful and comfortable this home is. Fifteen guests in total stayed and there was plenty of room for everyone, including toddlers who had a great time. I will add that there are a lot of "extras" that you don't always find when renting a vacation home like high end bath products, an abundance of huge fluffy towels, plenty of outdoor seating, a Weber grill and the best equipped kitchen I have ever seen in a rental (I usually pack my own knives so am very picky). We hosted an event for 55 people out on the deck and the catering company was right at home in the huge work space. We felt like the owner of Elkview went the extra mile to ensure we had a memorable time. We are avid golfers and played the Beaver Creek Course (picturesque and fun), Red Sky Ranch (awesome golf course) and Eagle Vail Golf Course (fantastic fun public course close by). If you want to stay very close to the village in a home, this is the place to stay!"

  • Gorgeous mountain home !!!

"Wonderful space for our new year's family vacation. Pictures do not do home justice. Beautiful morning views from upstairs bedroom. Centrally located to everything. Short walk to resturants, ski rentals and shopping. Across the street shuttle to gondola. Ski resort in Breckenridge with great rus for every level. Took some of my family member few days to adjust to elevation. Susan and Gretchen were very helpful, always prompt to respond . Could not have asked for more, home meet our every need. Absolutely beautiful , plan to return in the spring."

Northwest Travel Tips

Northwest Colorado Lodging for Expansive Western Adventures

Come enjoy the expansive western landscape of Northwest Colorado and experience the local history, cultures and wildlife. Northwest Colorado lodging is ideal for the avid hunter, explorer or even the family looking to experience the historical influences of past outlaws and homesteads.

Choose Northwest Colorado Lodging and Schedule a Big Game Hunt

Even if you’ve never been hunting before, you’ll love a weekend of capturing elk and deer near your mountain cabins in Colorado. Experience them in their natural habitat, and learn new skills in the process. Special hunts are also organized for kids only and first-timers to teach basic safety procedures that are so important. Send them off for a few days while the adults enjoy activities at the many resorts in Colorado, too.

Take a Wild Horse Tour near Mountain Cabins in Colorado

Experience the wild horses that live in the plains surrounding your Northwest Colorado lodging by scheduling a special tour the entire family will enjoy. Spend one day or several camping in the open lands near the mountain cabins in Colorado, and take plenty of photos to remember your adventure. Day tours, in 4x4s, designed to see the horses are also quite popular for a simple change of pace from the everyday resorts in Colorado.

Unique Resorts in Colorado Offer Access to Working Ranches

If you love to always be busy while on vacation, stay in Northwest Colorado lodging options that place you in the middle of a working dude ranch. Feed the horses and clean stalls, then round up the cattle with the other guests who are staying in mountain cabins in Colorado.

Family-style dinners can be included with some packages, so you’ll enjoy meeting with other guests. After a few days of hard work and fun learning experiences, you can return to your choice in resorts in Colorado for plenty of pampering and relaxation during the remainder of your vacation.
