  • Perfect for a family of 4-6

"The home is very cozy and has everything one needs. The outside looks a little dated but don't let that sway you, the inside has been completely updated and looks fantastic. It is close to a wonderful trail (Peak's Trail) which is a great beginner trail or a good trail if you have little ones. Its farily flat and has 3 small bridges over creeks. The trail ends at the Gondola going into town, the trail takes about 30 minutes to walk with children. I just wish we could have brought our dog, he would have been in heaven here."

  • Cozy and Quiet Getaway

"I went away with my husband for a long weekend and was pleasantly surprised at the accommodations. The place was immaculate and stocked full of the convenient items for us to use without running to the store immediately. We sipped the coffee provided on our first morning looking at the beautiful scenery. There was plenty of room, ample bathroom space and crisp linens throughout. The complex must have just been renovated because the outside looks freshly painted. We enjoyed the hot tub and although it was communal, we found ourselves alone each visit. We can't wait to return because of what a good time we had and hope to bring another family with ours in the winter season."

  • Great week at Baldy Bear

"Rating Details: I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. I was very happy with the location. The vacation rental was spotless. The property manager was very helpful. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My family and I enjoyed a very nice stay at Baldy Bear cabin in the summer of 2014. The house backs to the woods and you feel pretty secluded while being just 10 minutes away from Breckenridge attractions. There is a hiking / mountain biking trailhead nearby, also you can hike into the woods right from the cabin. There is a creek running through the property that you cannot see, but you can hear, and it creates amazingly peaceful and relaxing atmosphere when you relax on the deck. If you take a walk up the neighboring street you will enjoy breathtaking views of the nearby mountains. Jacuzzi under the night skies was amazing! The house is equipped with all sort of small things that you cannot bring with you, but they make your stay comfortable. We only have few minor suggestions to the owners / property management: to sharpen the knives, to supply the washer detergent (at least for one load), and to leave one-two kitchen cabinet(s) empty, so the renters have enough room to put their stuff away. We traveled with two kids, 12 years old and 20 month old, and a friend. Our 12 year old son slept in the loft, while his little sister occupied the sofa in our second floor bedroom. Our friend took downstairs bedroom. The cabin is suitable for families with young children, except for the straight staircase with gaps between the steps. Having baby gates in the cabin would significantly help parents to create safe environment for their babies / toddlers. Overall we had a very good experience and could recommend this cabin for companies up to 6-7 people with or without kids."

Northwest Travel Tips

Northwest Colorado Lodging for Expansive Western Adventures

Come enjoy the expansive western landscape of Northwest Colorado and experience the local history, cultures and wildlife. Northwest Colorado lodging is ideal for the avid hunter, explorer or even the family looking to experience the historical influences of past outlaws and homesteads.

Choose Northwest Colorado Lodging and Schedule a Big Game Hunt

Even if you’ve never been hunting before, you’ll love a weekend of capturing elk and deer near your mountain cabins in Colorado. Experience them in their natural habitat, and learn new skills in the process. Special hunts are also organized for kids only and first-timers to teach basic safety procedures that are so important. Send them off for a few days while the adults enjoy activities at the many resorts in Colorado, too.

Take a Wild Horse Tour near Mountain Cabins in Colorado

Experience the wild horses that live in the plains surrounding your Northwest Colorado lodging by scheduling a special tour the entire family will enjoy. Spend one day or several camping in the open lands near the mountain cabins in Colorado, and take plenty of photos to remember your adventure. Day tours, in 4x4s, designed to see the horses are also quite popular for a simple change of pace from the everyday resorts in Colorado.

Unique Resorts in Colorado Offer Access to Working Ranches

If you love to always be busy while on vacation, stay in Northwest Colorado lodging options that place you in the middle of a working dude ranch. Feed the horses and clean stalls, then round up the cattle with the other guests who are staying in mountain cabins in Colorado.

Family-style dinners can be included with some packages, so you’ll enjoy meeting with other guests. After a few days of hard work and fun learning experiences, you can return to your choice in resorts in Colorado for plenty of pampering and relaxation during the remainder of your vacation.
