  • Don't get much better!

"Wapiti Lodge is a beautiful and extremely well appointed and comfortable home. Bedrooms and bathrooms are spacious and the beds and pillows are very comfortable. We had 7 kids in our group ages 17 months to 5 years and they all had a great time playing inside and out in the backyard (sledding and on the playset). 1 minute walk to the very "on-time" free shuttle. Parking is ample and easily fits 4 SUVs/trucks. Kitchen and dining room are fabulous. Love this house and highly recommend!"

  • Great for group trip

"Was a great place to ring in the New Year. The layout of the house was great and the two living rooms was a plus- with a group of friends, we weren't always on each others back. Fully equipped kitchen came in handy for the big dinners we had and the outside grill was awesome. The garage was heated so it was great to leave the ski's and boots in there and not track snow throughout the house. Can't say we will stay in a place without a hot tub over a ski trip as the hot tub set up was perfect. The location was great as it was a simple walk to and from the shuttle station. The owners were more than helpful in the months leading up the to stay with advice on restaurants/bars and answered questions promptly. If we ever make it back to Breckenridge, we will stay at this house again- no question."

  • Great Choice for our Ski Vacation!

"This is the second time we've rented a condo through VRBO rather than stay in hotel for our ski vacation. This experience was even better than the last experience. The condo was great, very spacious and comfortable, neat and clean. We like to hit the slopes early in the morning, and we just walked outside and were on the lift. There's no better location at Copper Mountain. I rent homes on VRBO on a regular basis and I can't tell you how many times I read about a "fully stocked kitchen", just to arrive and find NOTHING that I need to cook real meals. This is NOT the case here. The kitchen had everything you would need to cook gourmet meals including pots and pans, knives, utensils, coffee filters, and anything else you can think of except food. Leigh was great about keeping in contact before our visit and providing us with lots of information. Emails were always answered in a timely fashion and customer service was excellent while we were there. I would recommend this condo to anyone unless you want a newer luxury condo. The VRBO description is very accurate and this home is in an older building and isn't modern. But the location, space, customer service and supplies provided, more than made up for the fact that it wasn't decorated very "chic". All in all, a splendid condo, laid out excellently for separating family members into different rooms. And this is one of the best values on a ski-in, ski-out location that we found. We will be back!"

Northwest Travel Tips

Northwest Colorado Lodging for Expansive Western Adventures

Come enjoy the expansive western landscape of Northwest Colorado and experience the local history, cultures and wildlife. Northwest Colorado lodging is ideal for the avid hunter, explorer or even the family looking to experience the historical influences of past outlaws and homesteads.

Choose Northwest Colorado Lodging and Schedule a Big Game Hunt

Even if you’ve never been hunting before, you’ll love a weekend of capturing elk and deer near your mountain cabins in Colorado. Experience them in their natural habitat, and learn new skills in the process. Special hunts are also organized for kids only and first-timers to teach basic safety procedures that are so important. Send them off for a few days while the adults enjoy activities at the many resorts in Colorado, too.

Take a Wild Horse Tour near Mountain Cabins in Colorado

Experience the wild horses that live in the plains surrounding your Northwest Colorado lodging by scheduling a special tour the entire family will enjoy. Spend one day or several camping in the open lands near the mountain cabins in Colorado, and take plenty of photos to remember your adventure. Day tours, in 4x4s, designed to see the horses are also quite popular for a simple change of pace from the everyday resorts in Colorado.

Unique Resorts in Colorado Offer Access to Working Ranches

If you love to always be busy while on vacation, stay in Northwest Colorado lodging options that place you in the middle of a working dude ranch. Feed the horses and clean stalls, then round up the cattle with the other guests who are staying in mountain cabins in Colorado.

Family-style dinners can be included with some packages, so you’ll enjoy meeting with other guests. After a few days of hard work and fun learning experiences, you can return to your choice in resorts in Colorado for plenty of pampering and relaxation during the remainder of your vacation.
