  • Historic location, modern updates

"We stayed in this completely remodeled house with our 2-year-old son and enjoyed every minute. It was exponentially more convenient than any other Breck hotels or cabins we've rented in the past. One can leave the house fully-suited in ski gear for the day and jump on the Free Ride bus at many intersections near the cabin. Door to ski lift was a very short ride, and it was much, much faster to the slopes than parking at the gondola and riding up. Internet, televisions, and other amenities were excellent, and when we had any issues, multiple caretakers were running to help us out."

  • Repeat user - Madison, WI

"We have enjoyed staying at this special home the past two summers. (July 2013 & July 2014) It is the perfect mountain retreat. The home is at the end of the street, nestled into the hillside with a side deck adjacent to the golf course. The views are spectacular with wonderful sunshine entering through the two story windows. It's quiet and relaxing. Perfect for just spending time reading in the living room or outdoors on one of the decks. There are hiking trails just 300 feet from the side deck entrance. The home is very comfortable for a group. This year we had a total of 7 people. (Two in each bedroom and one on a living room sofa.) The house was built in the 80's and has not been updated. Everything is clean and in good working order, but not new. The kitchen is well stocked with cooking utensils, etc. There is a nice laundry room and large dining room table for group meals. Because the house is built into the hillside, there are a series of steeps required from the driveway to the entrance. We definitely plan to return in the future! It is our favorite Colorado retreat."

  • Beautiful and spacious

"This condo was clean and beautifully decorated. The bedding was comfortable and there was plenty of room in the closet and drawers. The balcony was a lovely place to enjoy morning coffee and evening wine."

  • Location and Layout!

"We loved staying in this condo last week! The location is awesome, SO close to the lift, the shuttle, and Mountain House lodge! The kitchen includes everything you need for meals in. And a hot tub right in the condo is awesome! There were plenty of beds (two in each room!) and bathrooms. We are a family of 4 (2 teenagers) and traveled with two single adults. There was plenty of privacy for everyone and the common areas were perfect for us all to enjoy together. I highly recommend this condo!"

Northwest Travel Tips

Northwest Colorado Lodging for Expansive Western Adventures

Come enjoy the expansive western landscape of Northwest Colorado and experience the local history, cultures and wildlife. Northwest Colorado lodging is ideal for the avid hunter, explorer or even the family looking to experience the historical influences of past outlaws and homesteads.

Choose Northwest Colorado Lodging and Schedule a Big Game Hunt

Even if you’ve never been hunting before, you’ll love a weekend of capturing elk and deer near your mountain cabins in Colorado. Experience them in their natural habitat, and learn new skills in the process. Special hunts are also organized for kids only and first-timers to teach basic safety procedures that are so important. Send them off for a few days while the adults enjoy activities at the many resorts in Colorado, too.

Take a Wild Horse Tour near Mountain Cabins in Colorado

Experience the wild horses that live in the plains surrounding your Northwest Colorado lodging by scheduling a special tour the entire family will enjoy. Spend one day or several camping in the open lands near the mountain cabins in Colorado, and take plenty of photos to remember your adventure. Day tours, in 4x4s, designed to see the horses are also quite popular for a simple change of pace from the everyday resorts in Colorado.

Unique Resorts in Colorado Offer Access to Working Ranches

If you love to always be busy while on vacation, stay in Northwest Colorado lodging options that place you in the middle of a working dude ranch. Feed the horses and clean stalls, then round up the cattle with the other guests who are staying in mountain cabins in Colorado.

Family-style dinners can be included with some packages, so you’ll enjoy meeting with other guests. After a few days of hard work and fun learning experiences, you can return to your choice in resorts in Colorado for plenty of pampering and relaxation during the remainder of your vacation.
