  • Perfect Homebase

"Was a bit concerned that past raving reviews could not be true, but shouldn't have been. We booked the condo to have a home base for our son's participation in the 100 mile Rabbit Run, but it was really a home base for everyone. Dad walked out back to fish the Yampa before breakfast. Mom strolled Main St without getting in a car. Son got great night's sleep before race and only took him 5 minutes to get to start line. Pacers and pit crew were able to stop in for snacks and naps and mascot dog felt at home. The condo was the most well equipped and stocked of any VRBO rental we have done. We fed 9 people the night before the race with ease and comfort. Steve was very helpful prior to our arrival, answering every question promptly. It was clear that he would be available to help out with anything while we were there, but there was no need. Highly recommended."

  • Wonderful summer stay

"We had a wonderful summer stay in Vail. Clean and quiet, the unit is very close to the main village and the amphitheater, and backs up to Gore Creek. We wish the patio received more sunlight, but the sun-filled yard made up for that. A great place for a summer week."

  • Great location, great views, great stay.

"Previous reviews are very accurate. My wife and I stayed 3 nights in the fall for hiking and fall colors. I'll add the following. While we stayed in the fall, the steel steps leading up to the unit will be great and safe to navigate in the snow should you stay there in the winter. The unit was very comfortable. The balcony was outstanding. And it's a very short walk to the A-Café for great food! If we're in Dillon my wife insets on the A-Café. The counter space in the bath is a bit tight but this would only be a small bother if you had 4 people staying there. Lisa was a big help in pointing me toward a FedEx office nearby when I needed to print, sign, scan, and send some work documents as well as finding a place for tire repair!. I would definitively stay here again."

  • Magical Old West

"Thank you for sharing this great cabin experience with us. My wife and I and the dogs had a wonderful time and really experienced the greatness of the "old west" with your classic decorations and quality furnishings, making everything so authentic, and even a real wood-burning fireplace! I thought he picture of the elk crossing your property was just a postcard until we saw them for ourselves, amazing! Thanks again, Jay & Cathy"

Northwest Travel Tips

Northwest Colorado Lodging for Expansive Western Adventures

Come enjoy the expansive western landscape of Northwest Colorado and experience the local history, cultures and wildlife. Northwest Colorado lodging is ideal for the avid hunter, explorer or even the family looking to experience the historical influences of past outlaws and homesteads.

Choose Northwest Colorado Lodging and Schedule a Big Game Hunt

Even if you’ve never been hunting before, you’ll love a weekend of capturing elk and deer near your mountain cabins in Colorado. Experience them in their natural habitat, and learn new skills in the process. Special hunts are also organized for kids only and first-timers to teach basic safety procedures that are so important. Send them off for a few days while the adults enjoy activities at the many resorts in Colorado, too.

Take a Wild Horse Tour near Mountain Cabins in Colorado

Experience the wild horses that live in the plains surrounding your Northwest Colorado lodging by scheduling a special tour the entire family will enjoy. Spend one day or several camping in the open lands near the mountain cabins in Colorado, and take plenty of photos to remember your adventure. Day tours, in 4x4s, designed to see the horses are also quite popular for a simple change of pace from the everyday resorts in Colorado.

Unique Resorts in Colorado Offer Access to Working Ranches

If you love to always be busy while on vacation, stay in Northwest Colorado lodging options that place you in the middle of a working dude ranch. Feed the horses and clean stalls, then round up the cattle with the other guests who are staying in mountain cabins in Colorado.

Family-style dinners can be included with some packages, so you’ll enjoy meeting with other guests. After a few days of hard work and fun learning experiences, you can return to your choice in resorts in Colorado for plenty of pampering and relaxation during the remainder of your vacation.
