  • Nice Condo Near Slopes!

"The owner has done a very nice job furnishing and equipping this condo. Although we didn't cook while we were there, the kitchen was well-stocked with the usual supplies and much more. The furnishings are much nicer than most units we have rented in the past, and very comfortable. This is the only unit on the top floor, so it was quiet and equipped with quite a few windows. The balcony was generously sized as well and the ski locker right outside the front door was much appreciated. We are used to having to drive to the slopes and use shuttles, etc., so it was a nice treat to be able to walk out the front door an be on the slopes in just a few minutes. We plan on returning!"

  • What a lovely time!

"My family and I have stayed at this property twice now. There are only three of us, so this place feels very spacious. There is a queen size bed in the main bedroom; a full size and very comfortable sleeper couch in the TV room, and a small single sleeper love seat. You could easily sleep five folks in this place if you needed to. There are plenty of extra pillows, sheets, blankets etc. which is really nice and allows everyone to have what they need to get comfortable at bedtime. I also love how stocked the kitchen always is. We came in late at night last year in the middle of a snowstorm and we were all very hungry. There was an assortment of goods to hold us over until the morning. I thought we had gotten lucky, but this year when we arrived, it was the same. In general the kitchen is better appointed than most places I’ve stayed, including accommodations at a much higher price point. Just about every condiment or herb you could possibly need is provided. I know this seems like a trivial matter, but when you’re staying for several days, it’s really nice to know that you won’t have to season each meal with only pepper and salt. This property is in a nondescript apartment complex with views of the mountain and is three minutes from downtown Steamboat. The place itself has really been spruced up since our last visit. It was nice to begin with but it is clear that the owners have really tried to go the extra mile to make the place feel comfortable and the unit as a whole has a very nice feel to it. It’s a little modern, a little quirky and everything you could need in a vacation rental. There is internet service, cable TV, Netflix and a gaming console, all very easy to use. The place is always stocked with firewood and kindling and a little fire easily gets gets the place nice and toasty. The door is code entry, so no one needs to worry about losing the key or having the family “key holder” present to get in. There is also a washer and dryer in the condo. I remember reading a review that said that the owners where not very responsive to communication. This has not been my experience. In fact on one occasion, when I sent an email requesting information, I received a pleasant and extremely prompt reply from each of the owners, Roni and her husband Andrew. In addition to their personal reply wishing me a pleasant stay, they included extremely detailed instructions on how everything in the condo worked as well as information about Steamboat in general."

Come enjoy the expansive western landscape of Northwest Colorado and experience the local history, cultures and wildlife. Northwest Colorado lodging is ideal for the avid hunter, explorer or even the family looking to experience the historical influences of past outlaws and homesteads.

Choose Northwest Colorado Lodging and Schedule a Big Game Hunt

Even if you’ve never been hunting before, you’ll love a weekend of capturing elk and deer near your mountain cabins in Colorado. Experience them in their natural habitat, and learn new skills in the process. Special hunts are also organized for kids only and first-timers to teach basic safety procedures that are so important. Send them off for a few days while the adults enjoy activities at the many resorts in Colorado, too.

Take a Wild Horse Tour near Mountain Cabins in Colorado

Experience the wild horses that live in the plains surrounding your Northwest Colorado lodging by scheduling a special tour the entire family will enjoy. Spend one day or several camping in the open lands near the mountain cabins in Colorado, and take plenty of photos to remember your adventure. Day tours, in 4x4s, designed to see the horses are also quite popular for a simple change of pace from the everyday resorts in Colorado.

Unique Resorts in Colorado Offer Access to Working Ranches

If you love to always be busy while on vacation, stay in Northwest Colorado lodging options that place you in the middle of a working dude ranch. Feed the horses and clean stalls, then round up the cattle with the other guests who are staying in mountain cabins in Colorado.

Family-style dinners can be included with some packages, so you’ll enjoy meeting with other guests. After a few days of hard work and fun learning experiences, you can return to your choice in resorts in Colorado for plenty of pampering and relaxation during the remainder of your vacation.
