  • Good family condo

"We stayed over President's Day weekend and enjoyed our stay. The condo lives up to its description. The condo was clean, and there were plenty of pillows, towels, and sheets. We had more than enough room for our family of 5. There is a nice big table to enjoy meals. The kitchen is very usable, and we cooked a couple of times. We really enjoyed having a private hot tub. The water had just been changed, and I think that is their normal practice to change it once a week or before every guest. The owner was also very responsive and helpful. We had a short delay getting into the condo because the previous renters had not replaced the key, but we were able to immediately reach the owner and she was able to help us get in. We found that it was quite a bit of walking to get to and from the slopes. We could certainly return to the condo for lunch, but to get to the Kicking Horse lift, you have to walk through the parking lot and cross the street (~500 ft). To get to the main lift, we walked through the upper Mountainside condos (~400 ft) with stairs. I would estimate that it took us about 10 minutes with kids and skis. Our kids enjoyed sleeping in the open loft, which has a nice big bed. However, as our kids go to bed on the early side that meant that we had to be quiet because any talking easily carried up to them. This was a little bit of an issue for us since my parents were visiting from out of town and stayed in another Mountainside unit so my family wanted to catch up after the kids went to bed. I don't think this would be an issue for everyone. Granby Ranch is a great mountain for families and beginner skiers. We had a good experience and enjoyed a wonderful long weekend in the mountains!"

  • Location Location Location!

"That is what we look for when staying in the high country. We have stayed at many places in the high country and found this to be just what we are looking for. The access from the village condos is perfect for heading out and enjoying the summer and winter activities with ease of stopping back for lunch and some relaxation and heading back out for some more time on the slopes. The condos are very spacious, great for entertaining before heading out to dinner and a night out in the village. We continue to check the vrbo calender for available dates when booking our mountain vacations and would recommend others to do the same it is an awesome place to stay."

  • Fantastic Ski Vacation

"5 old college buddies had their yearly ski trip in Breckenridge and chose this townhome as their base. It was perfect! The location couldn't have been better with easy access to the slopes. The house itself was very nice and extremely comfortable. We cooked several meals in and had all the utensils, pots and pans that we needed. We also took full advantage of the hot tub. The owners couldn't have been nicer and were extremely easy to work with. We would definitely book this property again!"

Northwest Travel Tips

Northwest Colorado Lodging for Expansive Western Adventures

Come enjoy the expansive western landscape of Northwest Colorado and experience the local history, cultures and wildlife. Northwest Colorado lodging is ideal for the avid hunter, explorer or even the family looking to experience the historical influences of past outlaws and homesteads.

Choose Northwest Colorado Lodging and Schedule a Big Game Hunt

Even if you’ve never been hunting before, you’ll love a weekend of capturing elk and deer near your mountain cabins in Colorado. Experience them in their natural habitat, and learn new skills in the process. Special hunts are also organized for kids only and first-timers to teach basic safety procedures that are so important. Send them off for a few days while the adults enjoy activities at the many resorts in Colorado, too.

Take a Wild Horse Tour near Mountain Cabins in Colorado

Experience the wild horses that live in the plains surrounding your Northwest Colorado lodging by scheduling a special tour the entire family will enjoy. Spend one day or several camping in the open lands near the mountain cabins in Colorado, and take plenty of photos to remember your adventure. Day tours, in 4x4s, designed to see the horses are also quite popular for a simple change of pace from the everyday resorts in Colorado.

Unique Resorts in Colorado Offer Access to Working Ranches

If you love to always be busy while on vacation, stay in Northwest Colorado lodging options that place you in the middle of a working dude ranch. Feed the horses and clean stalls, then round up the cattle with the other guests who are staying in mountain cabins in Colorado.

Family-style dinners can be included with some packages, so you’ll enjoy meeting with other guests. After a few days of hard work and fun learning experiences, you can return to your choice in resorts in Colorado for plenty of pampering and relaxation during the remainder of your vacation.
