  • Best Place in the Area!

"What a great place to stay! We have stayed at four (4) other VRBO advertised properties in the Glenwood Springs/Carbondale area, and Susan’s place is the best. It is so quiet and beautiful in the countryside where the property is. We ate breakfast on the deck with the fabulous view of Mt. Sopris right in front of us. The apartment was spacious and well equipped. Larger than any other that we had stayed in the area. Just 12 miles from the hot springs in Glenwood. We plan to make Susan’s place our choice whenever we plan a trip to the area."

  • Fantastic Ski Weekend.

"This home was everything we expected and more. Spacious and well maintained with all the comforts of home. It was great for our fathers/sons ski weekend (2 dads and their teenagers). Great place to relax with poker around the kitchen table after a hard day of skiing. Shuttles to Keystone (Mountain house) were easy to take and we never had to wait more than 15 minutes which was great considering Presidents Day weekend is one of the busiest for this resort. Also just a short walk to the restaurants and shops around the lake. The owner was very accommodating and easy to deal with. Thank you so much for letting us reserve your home! We will be back."

  • Great location

"My kids and I just spent the weekend here. It's so nice to be able to walk to everything, which was why I chose this property in the first place. It didn't disappoint. Plenty of room, and very comfortable. And my kids loved the pool, just outside our patio door. We would love to visit again. Thanks Susan!"

Northwest Travel Tips

Northwest Colorado Lodging for Expansive Western Adventures

Come enjoy the expansive western landscape of Northwest Colorado and experience the local history, cultures and wildlife. Northwest Colorado lodging is ideal for the avid hunter, explorer or even the family looking to experience the historical influences of past outlaws and homesteads.

Choose Northwest Colorado Lodging and Schedule a Big Game Hunt

Even if you’ve never been hunting before, you’ll love a weekend of capturing elk and deer near your mountain cabins in Colorado. Experience them in their natural habitat, and learn new skills in the process. Special hunts are also organized for kids only and first-timers to teach basic safety procedures that are so important. Send them off for a few days while the adults enjoy activities at the many resorts in Colorado, too.

Take a Wild Horse Tour near Mountain Cabins in Colorado

Experience the wild horses that live in the plains surrounding your Northwest Colorado lodging by scheduling a special tour the entire family will enjoy. Spend one day or several camping in the open lands near the mountain cabins in Colorado, and take plenty of photos to remember your adventure. Day tours, in 4x4s, designed to see the horses are also quite popular for a simple change of pace from the everyday resorts in Colorado.

Unique Resorts in Colorado Offer Access to Working Ranches

If you love to always be busy while on vacation, stay in Northwest Colorado lodging options that place you in the middle of a working dude ranch. Feed the horses and clean stalls, then round up the cattle with the other guests who are staying in mountain cabins in Colorado.

Family-style dinners can be included with some packages, so you’ll enjoy meeting with other guests. After a few days of hard work and fun learning experiences, you can return to your choice in resorts in Colorado for plenty of pampering and relaxation during the remainder of your vacation.
