  • Great place for families!

"We stayed for a week with 5 adults and 2 kids under 10. This condo was great and had plenty of room for us all. The rec center was great too as it gave us a place to go outside of the condo within walking distance. We had everything we needed!"

  • Excellent time in CO

"This was our third time staying at this condo. It is great for families or bigger groups. The kitchen is well stocked with the necessities and the pantry usually has the essentials to get you started. Linens, decorations and furniture are all nice and the condo is well kept. The washer/dryer is a nice bonus. Michael was a joy to work and you can tell his guests are respectful of the property. Great views of the lake and trail heads to Buffalo Mtn. and Lily Pad pond are just up the road. We stayed in the area for 2 weeks and it was a great base to explore Summit Co. Highly recommend and have already booked for next year."

  • The coziest place in Steamboat

"This was our 3rd stay in this condo. I love how warm and welcoming this space is. Our family of 5 stays here comfortably; the kitchen is stocked and easy to prepare a meal in. The kids love the Wii! The beds are firm and nice. Just down the hill is the hot springs pool and Vitamin Cottage. We'll be back!"

  • Thanksgiving Treat

"My extended family and I just got back from this special place where we decided to go for Thanksgiving this year. I'll be honest, the snow was minimal but we were still able to catch a few runs using the free lift tickets at Vail. The place was not full (which we were informed by the staff is typical during this week as it is the first official week they are open during the "winter season"). But a win for us, we felt like royalty, the staff was so attentive (perhaps they are like this all the time?). This place defines cozy, mountain chalet but you don't feel isolated with the hotel, restaurants and amenities all right there. Loved the chocolates on our pillows at night!"

Northwest Travel Tips

Northwest Colorado Lodging for Expansive Western Adventures

Come enjoy the expansive western landscape of Northwest Colorado and experience the local history, cultures and wildlife. Northwest Colorado lodging is ideal for the avid hunter, explorer or even the family looking to experience the historical influences of past outlaws and homesteads.

Choose Northwest Colorado Lodging and Schedule a Big Game Hunt

Even if you’ve never been hunting before, you’ll love a weekend of capturing elk and deer near your mountain cabins in Colorado. Experience them in their natural habitat, and learn new skills in the process. Special hunts are also organized for kids only and first-timers to teach basic safety procedures that are so important. Send them off for a few days while the adults enjoy activities at the many resorts in Colorado, too.

Take a Wild Horse Tour near Mountain Cabins in Colorado

Experience the wild horses that live in the plains surrounding your Northwest Colorado lodging by scheduling a special tour the entire family will enjoy. Spend one day or several camping in the open lands near the mountain cabins in Colorado, and take plenty of photos to remember your adventure. Day tours, in 4x4s, designed to see the horses are also quite popular for a simple change of pace from the everyday resorts in Colorado.

Unique Resorts in Colorado Offer Access to Working Ranches

If you love to always be busy while on vacation, stay in Northwest Colorado lodging options that place you in the middle of a working dude ranch. Feed the horses and clean stalls, then round up the cattle with the other guests who are staying in mountain cabins in Colorado.

Family-style dinners can be included with some packages, so you’ll enjoy meeting with other guests. After a few days of hard work and fun learning experiences, you can return to your choice in resorts in Colorado for plenty of pampering and relaxation during the remainder of your vacation.
