  • Family Holiday Getaway

"AMAZING!! This property was perfect for our family holiday getaway. From the moment we walked in the door we felt right at home. There was plenty of room for 3 families - including 5 children. The living area was warm and inviting even though there were several feet of snow and sub-zero temperatures outside. The fireplace was inviting and plenty of wood was provided to keep it blazing for warmth and drying boots. The loft was a great place for the kids to play games while the adults played games in the living area. The kitchen was well equipped and large enough for several of us to work in at the same time. There was even plenty of pantry space for each family to keep their food and snacks. Each family had plenty of room for sleeping and bathing. Lana was great to work with and responded to questions and concerns in a timely manner. Everything was as she described - if not even better! She explained about the stairs that needed to be navigated to reach the main living area. And although I have bad knees, the stairs were very manageable. Since there was a bedroom and bath on the main level, the stairs only had to be used if we left the cabin. And we did not leave very often because we were so comfortable staying there! The kids loved playing in the snow on the deck and sledding down the driveway. We were only 10 minutes away from our snowmobile rental location. We enjoyed a glorious ride - including seeing moose! Knowing that we had this lovely cabin to return to was a huge plus. The cabin was only 5 minutes from downtown Grand Lake where there were several good places to eat or take out food. We even took a 30 minute drive to Fraser to enjoy snow tubing. Rocky Mt National Park was only minutes away and we enjoyed a beautiful winter drive in the part of the park that was open. We HIGHLY recommend this property. It is well taken care of and extremely comfortable. Just like those infamous words say, "We'll be back!" We are already talking about a summer get together. Thank you so much Lana for allowing our family to enjoy your beautiful home!"

  • Excellent choice

"I was trying to find a place to stay over the Valentines / President's Day weekend and happened upon this. I have to say it exceeded our expectations. Brian and Casi opened up their home to us and made us feel very welcome during our stay. With a total of five people staying in the condo, there was plenty of room and the whole place felt very welcoming. Just a short drive to any of the surrounding ski resorts and shopping in Dillon and Silverthorne our trip worked out perfectly. I look forward to staying there again in the future and would recommend this to anyone looking for an affordable stay that has a "touch of home" to it."

  • Wonderful weekend

"The owner has recently remodeled and the additions make it even better of a place then it was before. We have stayed in the unit 3 times now and greatly appreciate how well kept it is . The new floors and countertops look great. This unit is perfect for our growing family to use, everyone has their own space. The view is one of a kind. Thanks for making our trip wonderful as you always do."

  • Great family place!

"Condo was great. Very clean and comfortable. There was not a thing lacking from the kitchen or any other amenities. We loved the ground floor as it made it much easier to load and unload the car. It was close to the slopes and everything else we needed. There was great communication with the owners and helpful hints from them to make our stay better. We hope to be able to go back again!"

Northwest Travel Tips

Northwest Colorado Lodging for Expansive Western Adventures

Come enjoy the expansive western landscape of Northwest Colorado and experience the local history, cultures and wildlife. Northwest Colorado lodging is ideal for the avid hunter, explorer or even the family looking to experience the historical influences of past outlaws and homesteads.

Choose Northwest Colorado Lodging and Schedule a Big Game Hunt

Even if you’ve never been hunting before, you’ll love a weekend of capturing elk and deer near your mountain cabins in Colorado. Experience them in their natural habitat, and learn new skills in the process. Special hunts are also organized for kids only and first-timers to teach basic safety procedures that are so important. Send them off for a few days while the adults enjoy activities at the many resorts in Colorado, too.

Take a Wild Horse Tour near Mountain Cabins in Colorado

Experience the wild horses that live in the plains surrounding your Northwest Colorado lodging by scheduling a special tour the entire family will enjoy. Spend one day or several camping in the open lands near the mountain cabins in Colorado, and take plenty of photos to remember your adventure. Day tours, in 4x4s, designed to see the horses are also quite popular for a simple change of pace from the everyday resorts in Colorado.

Unique Resorts in Colorado Offer Access to Working Ranches

If you love to always be busy while on vacation, stay in Northwest Colorado lodging options that place you in the middle of a working dude ranch. Feed the horses and clean stalls, then round up the cattle with the other guests who are staying in mountain cabins in Colorado.

Family-style dinners can be included with some packages, so you’ll enjoy meeting with other guests. After a few days of hard work and fun learning experiences, you can return to your choice in resorts in Colorado for plenty of pampering and relaxation during the remainder of your vacation.
