"We just got back from our week up north and rented this cabin. We absolutely loved it. It was one of the best cottages we have rented. It was very clean and well kept. It was my mom's 70th birthday so my sister and I took her up north for a week for a nice relaxing memorable birthday. My 16 month old niece was also with us. My sister and I shared the bunk bed room (we are 40 and 42 years old) and it brought us back to our childhood days and made us feel like kids again. We never did get a chance to use the hot tub (bummer) but we used the paddle boat and kayak each day. Long lake is awesome and much bigger than we expected! We hope to definitely stay here again. This place is set back farther from the other cottages making it nice and private. Thanks Mike for letting us stay in your wonderful cabin! If I could make one suggestion it would be that the kitchen needs a new frying pan as the one that is there doesn't do very well for frying eggs and bacon so we went to the store and got our own. Nothing major. If that is the worst thing I can say about your place than you definitely have a great place, because trust me, we can be a tough crowd to please! :)"Guest: Jennifer A. "To say this home is spectacular, is to say the least! We recently rented this home for our family, for our destination wedding, at a nearby vineyard. After traveling across the country, Steve was there to meet us to go over all the homes special features, he was always at hand, but never intrusive. This gorgeous home was comfortable for all ages, from 12 mos old grandson, to 81 yrs. young nonna. We only wish this website would allow us to post pictures, so that one could see the excitement & fun times our family had. Two months later, and our guests are still talking about the awesome time they had at this house. Our children & guest refer to this week at this Hilltop Mansion, as the best time of their lives!! The pool and spa were a constant source of entertainment for everyone!! The house sound system, gave the impression of being at a live concert, with such breathtaking sunsets every night. Except for the wedding, we rarely left the house!!! No one cared for siteseeing! Everything we could possibly need was right at hand, the house was so fully stocked with extra towels, linens ect. The kitchen was very spacious, and beds & funiture were most comfortable! These pictures certainly do not do this home justice!!! We look forward to returning very soon!!!! See you soon Steve!!! "I wanted a place away from the hustle and bustle and craziness of downtown Honolulu for our stay on Oahu with my husband, my 2 aunts (ages 92 and 88) and myself. This place was lovely. Carolyn has thought of everything you could possibly want or need (and more) to enjoy your stay. The beds were very comfortable. This would be a great place for families with children or several couples. The view from the patio is so gorgeous. I loved watching the sun come up in the morning and listening to the surf. Very nice place!"Guest: Brenda G. Date of Stay: October 2014 Review Submitted: November 8, 2014View listing
"I HAVE BEEN GOING TO COZUMEL AND CANTAMAR SINCE 1996. IT IS MY FAVORITE PLACE TO STAY ON THE ISLAND. THIS CONDO WAS ONE OF MY FAVORITE. IT DECORATED BEAUTIFULLY AND THE BEDS ARE THE MOST COMFORTABLE OUT OF ALL THE UNITS. I PLAN ON BOOKING THIS PLACE EVERY OPPORTUNITY I CAN. PURE BLISS AND BEAUTY RIGHT OUTSIDE YOUR DOOR."Guest: SM Date of Stay: August 2014 Review Submitted: August 28, 2014View listing
Pikes Peak Area Travel Tips
Pikes Peak Vacation Rentals are Easily Accessible
Set in Colorado’s Front Range, Pikes Peak is a national historic landmark. It is less than 40 miles from Colorado Springs on Interstate 25. Visitors are attracted to Pikes Peak lodging all year long, for its excellent range of outdoor activities. Due to its elevated alpine environment, the area gets snow at any time of year, along with thunderstorms in summer. Pikes Peak attracts more visitors than any other mountain in America.
Pikes Peak Cabins to Enjoy America’s Great Outdoors
Since Pikes Peak is one of America’s most popular resort areas, visitors to Pikes Peak cabins will find a huge variety of things to do. Many will find hiking the Barr Trail to the summit an exhausting but exhilarating experience. For those who want a less energetic route up the mountain, the Manitou and Pikes Peak Railway is a cog railway providing visitors with an easy way to reach the top. Once there, the views are well worth it, regardless of the route you choose to get there. The area is ideal for outdoor activities such as hiking and biking.
A Different Adventure Every Day
Pikes Peak vacation rentals are conveniently close to many attractions and great days out. Visitors may enjoy a day horseback riding through some of the most glorious scenery anywhere. Take time to visit underground Colorado at the Cave of the Winds. These spectacular caves are impressive natural wonders. The Royal Gorge Scenic Railway is a relaxing way to enjoy the views over the gorge in an old-fashioned way. While here, step back into the Wild West at Frontier Town where an authentic western town, complete with gunfights, will delight the whole family. Then there is Cheyenne Mountain Zoo where the mountains make a stunning backdrop for over 750 animals. Who wouldn’t want to hand-feed a giraffe? While here, experience the African Rift Valley exhibit. For those who are looking for a thrilling day, try whitewater rafting down the Arkansas River through Bighorn Sheep Canyon. The Flying W Ranch is a great place for dinner with some typical western-style entertainment thrown in. This ranch was recently rated one of the most unique American eateries.
To find some great local handcrafted souvenirs, visit Garden of the Gods Visitor and Nature Center. Here, visitors can enjoy browsing through the Native American jewelry and rugs, sand paintings and pottery in a typically Native American style store. Visitors can also now enjoy a nature tour here, with a gentle walk through local flora and fauna while learning about the history of the area. At the Ghost Town Museum, visitors will take a fun look at history back in the early pioneer days. The town of Manitou Springs, with its fascinating history as a neutral meeting ground for the various Native American tribes and its natural pure spring water, is another wonderful way to spend a day. While in the area, visitors may like a trip to the Manitou Cliff Dwellings to see the 700-year-old remnants of the Anasazi. These are truly fascinating ways to learn more about the way of life of the original inhabitants. The John May Museum Center is home to two interesting attractions with the Natural History Museum and the Space Exploration area. Go underground to view the life of the miner at the Mollie Kathleen Gold Mine. Dating from the 1800s, a 1,000-foot vertical shaft takes visitors down into the mines and back in time. Before heading home, make sure to see Seven Falls, where a 181-foot waterfall cascades down seven steps of cliff. Bring hiking boots to take full advantage of the area's hiking trails.
