"This is a lovely condo located in Ocean Club (East) that has all we needed for a relaxing 7 night stay. We arrived early so Bob and Cathy allowed us to place our baggage in the condo while it was being cleaned after previous renters had just departed. The unit was bright and kept nicely. It had all the essentials needed to have a casual breakfast or lunch. This was a great help as restaurant dining can become quite expensive on the island. We were able to jump on the Ocean Club shuttle that dropped us off near the center where we shopped at the Salt Mills complex. This saved us taxi fares and was very convenient. The Ocean Club facilities have nice oceanside dining (grouper!) at reasonable prices. The experience of Carribean breezes, crashing waves and candlelit tables was incredible. Coco Bistro proved to be a beautiful dining experience among the palms. For fun, we rented a scooter to buzz around the island. Bob and Cathy gave us some great times to enhance our first experience vacationing at Turks and Caicos. The prepaid cell phone was a nice convenience. I would recommend this condo to others who want all the amenities that a fine resort can offer yet at a reasonable rate. We look forward to returning to paradise!"Guest: Anonymous Date of Stay: March 2014 Review Submitted: April 5, 2014View listing
"We had the pleasure of staying in this beautiful house for a month in August 2014. We needed somewhere that my husband was able to work that was also walking distance to downtown St. Augustine and the Doll House met both requirements perfectly. From the moment you walk through the front door you feel at home. The house is very clean and you want for nothing. There's an abundance of fresh towels and bedding, beach towels and even bikes to ride down town. The owners have certainly put a lot of time, effort and thought into the property and it shows. It's an amazing vacation property and we hope we have the opportunity to visit again soon. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home with us. "My husband and I stayed at the Historic Downtown Adobe Apartment for the fourth time. We absolutely love it. It's located within easy walking distance of the plaza and a number of the great restaurants, it's clean, it's quiet, it's decorated cute. It has laundry facilities if we need them. Our hostess is always very gracious and accommodating. We hope to come back again soon!"Guest: Priss' Mom Date of Stay: September 2014 Review Submitted: October 3, 2014View listing
"We found this cottage for a last minute get away. Kurt was able to get us in despite the last minute notice. The place was immaculate. The view was even better. In the morning we would wake up to an eagle in the tree right by us. Him and his wife were overly friendly and gave us ideas for things to do and places to eat. Everything he told us about was great. He even let us bring along our big dog. If you want to have a good time, this is the place to stay. We will definitely be back."Guest: Brittani Date of Stay: September 2014 Review Submitted: September 28, 2014View listing
Pikes Peak Area Travel Tips
Pikes Peak Vacation Rentals are Easily Accessible
Set in Colorado’s Front Range, Pikes Peak is a national historic landmark. It is less than 40 miles from Colorado Springs on Interstate 25. Visitors are attracted to Pikes Peak lodging all year long, for its excellent range of outdoor activities. Due to its elevated alpine environment, the area gets snow at any time of year, along with thunderstorms in summer. Pikes Peak attracts more visitors than any other mountain in America.
Pikes Peak Cabins to Enjoy America’s Great Outdoors
Since Pikes Peak is one of America’s most popular resort areas, visitors to Pikes Peak cabins will find a huge variety of things to do. Many will find hiking the Barr Trail to the summit an exhausting but exhilarating experience. For those who want a less energetic route up the mountain, the Manitou and Pikes Peak Railway is a cog railway providing visitors with an easy way to reach the top. Once there, the views are well worth it, regardless of the route you choose to get there. The area is ideal for outdoor activities such as hiking and biking.
A Different Adventure Every Day
Pikes Peak vacation rentals are conveniently close to many attractions and great days out. Visitors may enjoy a day horseback riding through some of the most glorious scenery anywhere. Take time to visit underground Colorado at the Cave of the Winds. These spectacular caves are impressive natural wonders. The Royal Gorge Scenic Railway is a relaxing way to enjoy the views over the gorge in an old-fashioned way. While here, step back into the Wild West at Frontier Town where an authentic western town, complete with gunfights, will delight the whole family. Then there is Cheyenne Mountain Zoo where the mountains make a stunning backdrop for over 750 animals. Who wouldn’t want to hand-feed a giraffe? While here, experience the African Rift Valley exhibit. For those who are looking for a thrilling day, try whitewater rafting down the Arkansas River through Bighorn Sheep Canyon. The Flying W Ranch is a great place for dinner with some typical western-style entertainment thrown in. This ranch was recently rated one of the most unique American eateries.
To find some great local handcrafted souvenirs, visit Garden of the Gods Visitor and Nature Center. Here, visitors can enjoy browsing through the Native American jewelry and rugs, sand paintings and pottery in a typically Native American style store. Visitors can also now enjoy a nature tour here, with a gentle walk through local flora and fauna while learning about the history of the area. At the Ghost Town Museum, visitors will take a fun look at history back in the early pioneer days. The town of Manitou Springs, with its fascinating history as a neutral meeting ground for the various Native American tribes and its natural pure spring water, is another wonderful way to spend a day. While in the area, visitors may like a trip to the Manitou Cliff Dwellings to see the 700-year-old remnants of the Anasazi. These are truly fascinating ways to learn more about the way of life of the original inhabitants. The John May Museum Center is home to two interesting attractions with the Natural History Museum and the Space Exploration area. Go underground to view the life of the miner at the Mollie Kathleen Gold Mine. Dating from the 1800s, a 1,000-foot vertical shaft takes visitors down into the mines and back in time. Before heading home, make sure to see Seven Falls, where a 181-foot waterfall cascades down seven steps of cliff. Bring hiking boots to take full advantage of the area's hiking trails.
