"The pictures don't do this place justice. It's very nicely decorated and comfortable. We saw at least 4 deer, right in front our first day!!! The hottub was perfect!!! Used it at midnight on a clear night and saw soo many stars. :) The fireplace was already ready to light! BBQ was ready to go also. So much attention to little details really made the stay perfect. The market isn't too far away, and the fruit there was really good. Lots of humming birds. We wish we could have stayed longer!!!!!! WiFi was not working while we were there, but we were okay with that- we were looking to escape. Will definitely have to come back."

"We shared our weekend away with another family, for a total of 4 adults and 2 children. Relaxing is the word I would use to describe our experience. There was plenty of room for lounging on the sectional sofa, plus the other couch on the other side of the room. The kids played upstairs, which was nice to have that separate space for them and for us to have some intentional conversation. The dining room table is tucked away separately from where the kids were sleeping earlier in the evening so that we could play cards, laugh and not wake the kids. The kitchen had every amenity for our meals. One advantage is that there were not any immediate distractions right outside the door such as in the larger resort area. We walked in the woods and discovered a labyrinth in the midst of interesting, old trees. The kids loved playing pirate ship on the fallen trees. We enjoyed being "unplugged" without wifi to avoid the usual distractions. We also enjoyed having the TV and movies to watch. We look forward to our next visit! We love Fairplay and Alma, and Salida is one of our favorite places in the state. The best part of this location is not having to utilize I70. I was imagining what a great place this would be for a girls get away because of how conducive it would be for hanging out, quality time and comfort. I liked how you can have a quiet, isolated time OR you can head over to Breckenridge, Salida or Buena Vista too. Summer will be our next visit, as we can explore the little historic village SouthPark and enjoy one of the local fesivals."

"Not only is this unit in the amazing little town of Green Mountain Falls which is so scenic, it has the Mucky Duck restaurant which has the best food I have had in a couple of years! This is ideally located between Manitou Springs and
Woodland Park as well as close to Colorado Springs old town. So much to see and do. This unit was the most beautiful, quaint, well decorated and completely stocked place we have ever stayed. The unit was warm and inviting and relaxing. Everything you could need was there and available. While we didn't get to use the hot tub it was actually a plus for our choosing this home (as well as the enclosed backyard for our two small dogs which even had their own cupboard of supplies available). Our son and family live in Woodland Park and we will always choose this place to stay for as long as we are able to visit."

"We had 7 grandchildren (12 and under) and 7 adults. Everybody dad a great time. Close drive to a bunch of attractions. House has close neighbors but it worked well. Owners were easy to contact when we had a question."
