  • The Cozy Cottage Was Tremendous

"My family spent 5 nights in this cottage in Leadville and we had the best vacation - ever. The cottage is clean and roomy enough for 6 of us to be very comfortable. The kitchen was great, we had several family meals together. The laundry was great, we were able to minimize the clothing we needed to pack. The bathroom, shower - all good. Grill on the back patio - - how can you go wrong? We used the Mineral Belt Trail (2 blocks from the cottage) many times, walked downtown for a few meals and general sightseeing. We launched our other adventures from this very convenient location as well; Turquoise Lake is 6 miles down the road, Mt. Elbert trailhead is 10 miles down the road, BV and whitewater rafting was 30 miles down the road. The neighbors were friendly, the view of the continental divide is fabulous, you can see the two highest peaks in the state from the back patio - - I could go on. Leadville gives off a cool vibe that I found attractive - - it has all the views and activities that a Vail and Aspen would have without the pretension. I saw a bumper sticker that said it all: "Leadville - We're Here Because We're Not All There." If you've got Wall Street money and want to stay at the InterContinental, that is awesome, do that. If you're a regular guy like me who adheres to the "....do as the Romans do..." mantra, rent this house."

  • Outstanding!

"Even more impressive in person than in the photos. I was in town for a wedding with an Army buddy and his wife. The living areas were really nice- great view of Pikes Peak. Beautifully and comfortably furnished. Everything we needed and more in the kitchen and baths. Nice patio and balcony area. I enjoyed having my space in the lower level bedroom/bath/TV room. Walking distance to stores and restaurants - really enjoyed Panino - and convenient to everything. The wedding was on Ft Carson - we also enjoyed Manitou springs, Garden of the Gods and Pikes Peak. The Old North End location was great - the City and property owners have done a nice job with the area. Jackie was great to work with on the reservation - and was kind enough to help me out- she had to make a special trip because I'm an Idiot and left important stuff in a dresser drawer after we'd locked up and checked out. Thanks for a great stay in Colorado springs - I'll be calling you the next time I visit there."

  • Great location

"Perfect place to stay. Able to walk right downtown to all the shops and restaurants. Nice to sit out back and watch all the activities on the river. Only thing possibly needed was a dresser in the master bedroom. Couches have been updated. Our family of 4 had an awesome vacation."
