  • packing up this morning

"Wow. We are just finishing our stay in this fabulous "cabin". Everyone is dragging their feet, trying to prolong our departure. There were 4 couples on this trip, and we were very comfortable. Everything was clean and we'll maintained. The beds were comfortable, though some felt the beds were too soft. It didn't matter. We still slept like the dead every night. The fireplace and kitchen table were our gathering places, as well as the well proportioned deck. Though the weather was beautiful, we couldn't resist lighting the gas fireplace each night. Kitchen and restroom amenities were abundant. Frankly if they didn't have it, we didn't need it. The view looks out over San Isabel National park. Listening to the cattle bawling gently in the pasture was another favorite activity. The TV room is fine, but very few of us spent any time in front of the tube. There is a computer and wireless access in the house, which was sufficient for our needs. If you struggle to live without your phone, you will experience withdrawals, but it was actually nice to unplug for a while. Why get "away" if you are tethered to a phone. I am looking to schedule our trip for next year. All of us agreed on this 5 star cabin as our new favorite destination."

  • Beautiful Property

"My family stayed this past week at this property. It has breathtaking views of snowcapped mountains and an amazing rushing stream, all viewed from the multiple porches of the home. There were plenty of things to do around on day trips, or stay in, relax and enjoy the scenery. There was plenty of land around the house for my daughter to explore. We spent most days outside, but as far as inside the home, we had everything we needed. It is a great choice for a getaway- I wish we could have stayed longer!"

  • EXCELLENT PLACE TO VACATION

"My family and I stayed at this home during our Colorado vacation. The house was comfortable, well kept, and had all amenities. The location was perfect for what we wanted to do (access to everything), as well as making us feel at home by the hot tub, deck, grill and everything else. I would recommend this to anyone needing a great place while vacationing in the Pikes peak region. Bucko and Rocco (dogs) made visits on occasion and made us feel right at home. Thank you."

  • Great Getaway

"Our family (4 adults, 1 child) really enjoyed The Eldora! We loved that the river was right off of the porch--my daughter had endless hours of fun playing in the water and the rocks! The cabin had everything we needed (without any extra clutter) and was very comfortable and clean, management was very helpful and available, the provided firewood was nice, we enjoyed our little chipmunk visitors, and the hot tub was a nice bonus when the weather cooled off and got rainy. Like previous reviewers stated--it would be nice if the porch had more seating space, but it wouldn't stop us from returning. We also didn't catch ANY fish in the pond, but we had fun trying! We made such great memories and it was so nice to "unplug" and just enjoy each other for a few days. We will definitely be back!"
