  • The Cozy Cottage Was Tremendous

"My family spent 5 nights in this cottage in Leadville and we had the best vacation - ever. The cottage is clean and roomy enough for 6 of us to be very comfortable. The kitchen was great, we had several family meals together. The laundry was great, we were able to minimize the clothing we needed to pack. The bathroom, shower - all good. Grill on the back patio - - how can you go wrong? We used the Mineral Belt Trail (2 blocks from the cottage) many times, walked downtown for a few meals and general sightseeing. We launched our other adventures from this very convenient location as well; Turquoise Lake is 6 miles down the road, Mt. Elbert trailhead is 10 miles down the road, BV and whitewater rafting was 30 miles down the road. The neighbors were friendly, the view of the continental divide is fabulous, you can see the two highest peaks in the state from the back patio - - I could go on. Leadville gives off a cool vibe that I found attractive - - it has all the views and activities that a Vail and Aspen would have without the pretension. I saw a bumper sticker that said it all: "Leadville - We're Here Because We're Not All There." If you've got Wall Street money and want to stay at the InterContinental, that is awesome, do that. If you're a regular guy like me who adheres to the "....do as the Romans do..." mantra, rent this house."

  • Better than a hotel

"My husband and I rented this home for our 2 children , their spouses, 5 grandchilren ages 2-9yrs. and my Mom. We were there for my daughter's wedding. The 4 bedrooms (2 on each floor) made it perfect for sleeping arrangements. It was great having our meals together and visiting. It was a nice, centrally located home in a nice neghborhood. Great accomadations and games. Great open concept upstairs for family game night!"

  • Excellent, Excellent, EXCELLENT!!!!

"Awesome place. I stayed there with my wife and 1 year old and it was perfect. The place could fit 20 people. They even had high chairs!!! You can tell the owner put a lot of money in it and it had extra things, like sound systems, fans, pack and plays, full kitchen utensils etc. I would recommend this place to anyone. It's large, clean and great location."

  • Neighborhood Charmer!

"This place was magnificent. It was our first time to Colorado Springs and we choose to stay in Manitou Springs specifically because of this place. Pictures cannot entirely capture the charm and comfort of this stream side home. There are 4 very comfortable bedrooms which where perfect for the size of our small family. I just loved being able to make breakfast and coffee every morning before we headed out to Garden Of The Gods or The Red Rock Open Space Park or just roaming about town. If you get a chance to make rezzies for the Cog Railroad. It was a wonderful and informative trip for the whole family. We even got to see a wedding ceremony right at the summit! IT was awesome. This stream side retreat was nothing short of spectacular. We saw plenty of dear and just loved pizza from Savelli's and Crystal Park Cantina. This neighborhood is perfect for anyone wanting to get away from a big city and experience the charm of a small town fulll of history and lots to do. Next time we are in Colorado Springs, this is my "go-to" vacation rental. Oh, and I will also try to tackle the Manitou Springs Incline. What a great little town!"
