"We couldn't have asked for a better cabin near Fairplay, CO. The owner was very responsive for all my questions and even available via cellphone during our stay. For the middle of the summer, it was so temperate so no need to even think about A/C. The kitchen was well stocked with all the things you need to feel right at home. Be prepared for a very bumpy dirt road to the cabin so if you have an SUV it's a breeze a little city car not so much but that's the price for feeling like it's just you and the mountains. The driving directions were top notch. Just an overall great cabin."

"My family of 5 just stayed in this Mountain home. Private location with amazing views. The home was exceptionally clean when we arrived. There was plenty of space for our family. The home is well stocked with games for all ages. The hot tub was working beautifully and clean. The kitchen was well stocked with spices, utensils, pots and pans etc. Past renters have left condiments and storage supplies as well. We grocery shopped in Fairplay. They had pretty much everything we needed with reasonable prices. There is also a great tap house in Fairplay with local brews. We used American Safari Ranch for horseback riding. This is just a few miles away and they did a great job. We also drove though Como up to Boreas Pass. There is a great hike up to the Saddle with amazing views. We drove the remainder of the pass to Breckenridge to finish up the day and have dinner. Highly recommended for a day trip. Excellent hiking in Buena Vista as well.
I did send Amy several messages with questions. She was excellent to work with and responded very promptly. We would definitely use this property again."

"We had 9 people staying at this home. It is a lovely home. The week we were there was really hot though and without air conditioning during the day, it was stifling. We loved seeing the mule deer each morning as they passed by our fence. There was a tiny fawn with one of them. Two of the windows had no screens, so it was hard to leave them open during the day without letting bugs in. This house would benefit from more ceiling fans - at least one in the kitchen. We enjoyed our trip immensely. My aunt and uncle's house has the same problem - no air conditioning! For Texas people, it is hard, since we are used to air conditioning. The house was well equipped. However, your washing machine does not spin all the water out so the dryer is having to take twice as long to dry towels especially. Thanks for the hospitality! Gorgeous mountain view!"

"The cabin is located close to so many areas. Located out in the country but the highway is close by. Able to get to Colorado Springs, Breckenridge, Frisco and Silverthorne quickly. Fishing spots galore. Easy hiking close by. Bird watching extraordinary. Shopping close by. Dining close by. We also use the grill outside to grill our dinner. The cabin is equipped and we were not lacking anything inside. We had a great time at the cabin. We will try another family union at the cabin."
