  • Beautiful property and excellent location! Beds not as big as advertised.

"We loved our stay at Creekside Lodge! The property was gorgeous and the creek was wonderful and even more beautiful than in the photos since everything was green when we were there in the summer. I highly recommend it! One correction to the posting regarding beds: there is 1 Queen and 3 Doubles (no King!). The beds were very comfortable, just smaller than we expected. One positive correction: there was internet available at the property and it worked great (we were able to stream the World Cup). TV and cable were available, too."

  • Great Home for a Group Stay

"We stayed here for 5 nights for our son's out-of-town wedding at the Chapel at the AFA. The home was in excellent condition and the owners great to work with. Plan to have someone agile stay in the master bedroom. My husband and I were thinking we would take that room since the other couples would be there fewer nights than us. But I am short and the bed was very high--even to high to get on with the stool. So my sister and her husband slept there and enjoyed the large room and private bathroom. This house was so much nicer and conducive to visiting our out-of-town relatives than a hotel would have been. Glad we stayed there!"

  • Very Enjoyable!

"While we only stayed 2 nights and the weather was very rainy (much needed, however) we had a great time in Leadville and the cabin was a great place to return to. It's obvious that the owners have put time, energy and love into Buckeye's Cabin. It's both charming and functional. It is extremely clean, the furniture is comfortable and the appliances through-out work well. Our cell phones didn't work there, but the available phone worked just fine. It allowed us to contact the Georgetown Loop RR to up-grade our reservation to 1st Class the morning of our ride, giving us a warm, enclosed car to enjoy the trip on a very wet day. The crocheted and tatted pieces through out the cabin made it feel very warm and welcoming. We look forward to comming back to see some of the things that had closed after Labor Day or that we just couldn't fit into our abbreviated visit. Thank you, Paul and Marie-Christine for sharing your cabin with us."

  • Delightful hideaway reasonably priced!

"This cabin was perfect for our family! It is, indeed, cozy. It has a snug living room and a well-equipped kitchen (complete with four-burner gas stove, full-sized gas oven, and plenty of pots & pans and utensils to cook anything that strikes your fancy). The large refrigerator/freezer seems brand new, and the washer and dryer are full-sized, making it possible to do an actual load of laundry. The beds were comfortable -- in fact, they are the most comfortable we've ever slept in in a vacation rental! The cabin is in a quiet area not too densely populated, and yet it's very near the fun cafes, restaurants, and other attractions of Leadville. If you like to travel with your dog, though, you may find the best part for you is the actual doggy door leading out into a huge back yard. We'll definitely be back!"
