  • Awesome mountain retreat!

"Mountain Sun cabin was beyond wonderful! A city dweller, I longed for a lovely, quiet place to get renewed and draw close to my Creator. As soon as I came, I found myself breathing deeply, enveloped in the beauty of the forest and sky. I enjoyed hiking amidst the glorious golden aspen, soaking in the hot tub, and relaxing on the deck, watching the birds and squirrels. The cabin has large windows, incredible views, and is very lovely, clean, and well-kept. I highly recommend! I can hardly wait to go back... soon, I hope!"

  • packing up this morning

"Wow. We are just finishing our stay in this fabulous "cabin". Everyone is dragging their feet, trying to prolong our departure. There were 4 couples on this trip, and we were very comfortable. Everything was clean and we'll maintained. The beds were comfortable, though some felt the beds were too soft. It didn't matter. We still slept like the dead every night. The fireplace and kitchen table were our gathering places, as well as the well proportioned deck. Though the weather was beautiful, we couldn't resist lighting the gas fireplace each night. Kitchen and restroom amenities were abundant. Frankly if they didn't have it, we didn't need it. The view looks out over San Isabel National park. Listening to the cattle bawling gently in the pasture was another favorite activity. The TV room is fine, but very few of us spent any time in front of the tube. There is a computer and wireless access in the house, which was sufficient for our needs. If you struggle to live without your phone, you will experience withdrawals, but it was actually nice to unplug for a while. Why get "away" if you are tethered to a phone. I am looking to schedule our trip for next year. All of us agreed on this 5 star cabin as our new favorite destination."

  • AMAZING PLACE !!!!!!!!!!!!! I WILL BE BACK WITH MY FAMILY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"This amazing house just 2 blocks from downtown is great. This is the 2nd time we have stayed in this house. The first time was just for 2 nights on our way to another destination - after staying here 2 nights, we decided to make this our vacation destination this year. This year the owner was in town (he lives close by) - he was smoking some ribs and brisket at his house and dropped by and shared a brisket and a rack of ribs with us. We invited him in but he did not want to intrude on our vacation so he just dropped off the smoked meat. What a nice guy! The house is amazing! The views are amazing - The house is clean and very comfortable. I will be back just to enjoy this place. My kids love it - my wife loves it - we brought another couple with us this year and they fell in love with this place too. Coming to the Cooper Mtn House is a family tradition for us now - in fact we are considering coming back for ski season too!"

  • quiet sojourn

"A senior couple,we spent a few restful days in Dundee Cottage after driving around Colorado for several days. It is convenient to the downtown area and Pike's Peak Railway and well equipped. We were very comfortable here. Parking was a slight problem but we resolved it. Thanks to our hosts!"
