  • Great vacation home!

"The house is better than the pictures. When we arrived the owner met us and spent time showing us the property. We wanted to rent a nice house for family for an extended weekend for our son's wedding. It was very enjoyable and everyone loved the house. The house added to the uniqueness to the weekend, and everyone that came over was shocked with the details and workmanship in the house. A great place if you want to spoil yourself with luxury. This is by far the nicest property we have rented."

  • Biltmore Family Getawy

"We just returned from a three night stay at the ranch. We have done a lot of cabin "camping" around Colorado and La Garita Ranch was the best! We were not looking for fancy hotel, but a place that brought us back in time. The cabins are very clean and had the basic of everything we needed. The grill on the deck was very clean as well. The views of the property were spectacular. We loved that we could ride our mountain bikes to the various fishing locations. It was great for the boys to be able to ride off with their fishing gear and have great success. We caught so many fish, which is more than we expected because three of us had never fly fished at all. The peddle boat, with the kayake and row boats added to the family fun. The recreation room was fun for the ping pong tournament. The rec room even had a nice little library and I managed to get two novels in. The Lodge with all the historical albums was fascinating to review and was a nice surprise when the rain storm lasted longer than we thought it would. A lot of our great experience was due to the staff. Thanks to Kathy, my son was saved from the bugs because she was kind enough to loan him a shirt when their was not one his size to purchase. Bill taught 4 of us in one hour how to cast so that we could successfully fish. Kelly tried to arrange for our horse ride but the weather interferred; Next time. We still did not even do half of what we wanted. There is so much to see and do on the ranch and in Creede. Can't wait to go back."

  • Private, great views, reasonable price!

"We spent a week at the cabin with our kids and granddaughters. We loved the privacy and the views! We had plenty of room for the kids to play, they loved the hammock and swing. The kitchen is spacious and there was plenty of sleeping room. The owner is personable and generous. We will definitely be back for another visit! The Wicklund Family"

  • Birthday weekend

"I rented the whole house for my boyfriend’s 30th birthday with 18 of our closest friends and we had the best time! This place is very pet friendly, we had 5 well behaved dogs with us and there was still plenty of room in the house. The house and property is absolutely beautiful! The views are unreal from just about every room in the house. The goats, lamas and chickens are also so entertaining to watch and fun be around. The owners Gina and D'Arcy were such wonderful hosts! They made us latte's every morning, which were so delicious and creamy. The bedrooms were great—large and each equipped with their own bathroom, mini fridge and other mics. amenities. It is extremely close to Monarch Mountain. During the day some of us went skiing, some went snowmobiling and some fishing. We didn't rent the lodge as a b&b and brought our own supplies for cooking, partly because we were such a large group-- which goes to show how accommodating and flexible Gina really is with her guests. We will definitely be back again both as a large group and just with my boyfriend for a lovely getaway."
