"My husband and I stayed in the cabin for two nights so we could visit the area. It is a nicely designed cabin with all you will need and a lovely view of the mountains and sky. Our host was really accommodating and introduced us to parts of the area that we would never have discovered on our own. Thanks Al!"

"We stayed a weekend in the cabin with my two kids and sister. There was plenty of space and yet very cozy. The cabin was in an awesome setting. We loved the rock outcroppings and all the trees surrounding the cabin. If it hadn't been so cold I would have spent more time on the porch! To my surprise, the driveway to the house had been plowed so getting up there was much easier than I thought it would be. And the house was warm! I have stayed at B&B's that did not have the heat turned on prior to our arrival. The kitchen had everything we needed. The bathroom was really nice. We especially liked the door. The loft was cute and spacious. The main bedroom was roomy. My only recommendation for the cabin is that the bed in the bedroom be upgraded along with the pillows. It was the only thing I was not looking forward to during my stay there. But everything else was just right!"

"Once you get used to the idea that nothing is close in Colorado, then this is a great place to stay!
A perfect mountain retreat close to ample hiking opportunities. We spent 2 days hiking within 5 miles of the cabin in the national forest (did some fly fishing in the South Platte during these hikes), drove the 30 minutes to pikes peak, the 45 min to Cripple creek. Drove the Shelf Road (probably the coolest dirt road I've ever driven on).
The hot tub was always great to come home to and the cabin had everything we need. Can't wait to get back there! Wifi worked great to stay in touch with the rest of the world (if you want to do that), cell phone service was spotty but possible in the cabin (Verizon was better than ATT)."
