"We stayed for a week. This cabin was fantastic. We brought our Golden and he absolutely loved it. He was so sad when we had to leave. Every morning he would run to take a dip in the lake. The view of the mountains was so beautiful. So quiet and fantastic. We posted so much about it on facebook, all of our friends are asking where we were."

"this house is nice, set up well, nice décor and all the amenities to make comfortable. We plan to be back again later this summer; but even in April Colorado had some beautiful weather! Thank you for quick responses, and quick damage deposit return. You have a very nice place and glad you have no problem sharing since people like us couldn't afford something like this. Eight in our group with space galore still available"

"The cabin was much larger than it looked in the photos (as was the beautiful deck) and the view is absolutely stunning, especially with the brilliant aspen. I'm a hiker and I hiked to my heart's content. I wished I'd brought my bike because there are plenty of places to ride, too. My friends enjoyed sitting under the umbrella and enjoying the view while they caught up. We decided to cook dinner one night and the cabin has everything you need and more for cooking - made me want to go home and buy some new cookware!
I usually bring wineglasses and big coffee mugs and would recommend that if there are more than two people. There's plenty of sleeping room and having two bathrooms was great. You can drive to the Colorado Trail in just a few minutes and hike Mt Elbert if you're up for it. The owner is very nice too. Definitely a place to visit again!"

"This log cabin was absolutely WONDERFUL!!!! It far exceeded our expectations. We met family from all over the country here and had plenty of room for everyone. The cabin is so beautiful, but in a comfortable way. We felt like we were right at home, except that my home is not nearly this nice!!!
I can’t tell you how wonderful it was for all of us, but especially my elderly mother, that all the kids could go downstairs and play pool, games, craft, or watch TV. And yet, there was plenty of room for all of us to be upstairs together to have our family time and to eat together.
There are so many things to do around the cabin, all within a half hour to an hour. We went white water river-rafting out of Buena Vista and visited the cute little shops there. We visited Leadville and enjoyed the quaint shops their too. We went through Independence Pass and went over to Aspen. The drive was breathtaking. We visited Breckenridge and it was a fun little town. Our guys did some fishing and caught some trout and also did some shooting at a nearby shooting area. We also attempted to hike Mt. Elbert. What we weren’t aware of was that you need to leave early in the morning (at least if you are going to go in July), as you need to be heading back down the mountain by 12:00pm to avoid afternoon thunder and lightning showers. It was wonderful just to hike around by the cabin. There is a lake just up the road from the cabin and that was a nice little hour long hike to get there and back. There is zip-lining near there that we didn't have time for, and we also didn’t make it to Interlaken Hotel Resort over at Twin Lakes which I hear is beautiful. So much to do, we will just HAVE to go back. Can’t wait.
And if all you want to do is relax????? The views from the rooms or the deck are incredible. I think I could sit out there all day long and just soak up the beauty. My elderly mom was able to go with us on many of our trips to the different towns and really enjoyed the drive over Independence Pass. We saw a lot of wildlife on that drive, but also saw some just near the cabin.
I hope you have a fantastic time if you choose to go!!! You really should, it is great!!!"
