"Three generations gathered for family fun. The layout of the house allowed for privacy for all. The fenced yard was perfect for the youngest generation during the day and the teens and adults enjoyed the fire pit in the evenings. It was a great setting and the owners were very accommodating."

"I hesitate to give this place the wonderful review it deserves mostly because I want to be able to rent this cabin again! My family of four thoroughly enjoyed our 6 night stay at The Eagles Nest cabin. Located on private property and shared with another cabin and a small Inn, we still felt like we were practically the only ones there. From our front porch, we hand fed a deer we named "Addison" and also hand fed a chipmunk who loved granola. The cabin is wonderfully decorated and very comfortable. The paths around the cabin were fun to walk and the view from the fire pit was our favorite place to be early morning and late evening. The cabin is located in Divide Co. just past Woodland Park which is just past Manitou Springs. Both are fun towns to explore and both have great micro breweries. Divide also has some fun hiking trails like Horsethief Falls and Pancake Rock Trail. There is also a great restaurant in Divide called McGinty's Pub. The food is incredible! Make sure you get a cup of the smoked gouda soup! Of course, Pikes Peak is nearby and there are plenty of trails to hit in Manitou Springs, and Garden of the Gods is right there as well. So much fun! We will definitely return."

"My family stayed for a week in the summer at this chalet. Very nice place and much bigger on the inside that how it looked when first pulling up. When they said 70's chalet they weren't kidding! A lot of the fixtures, decoration, appliances even the walls look straight out of the 70's. It's a good bit that gives this place some charm. The microwave was really old school, but worked fine and as others have said the oven works, but is a mystery. My kids loved all the games and toys available and the living room was great for all of us to hang out. The location was good as you are 20 minutes from Salida and about 90 minutes from Crested Butte (which was beautiful). This place gives you good bang for the buck, thumbs up. We had a great time!"

"The owner is very thorough about all aspects of preparation for your stay at this property. He sends out detailed information on the property itself, details on your stay and a great activities guide for things to do in the area. Many areas of the house are clearly marked so that you know how to use things such as the wood/pellet stoves, music system, etc. The house is very well maintained and very nice. The beds are comfortable, there are many living areas, a nice fireplace around which to congregate, a decent sized kitchen with most of the basics you need for cooking and a nice deck. I wish there were a place to have an outdoor fire but that is prohibited by the housing development the house is in but the indoor fireplace is nice. There are many games, movies and CDs for entertainment, a garage full of things to keep you entertained outdoors. Great vacations spot near to many attractions in the area and a very conscientious owner and host."
