"Our family of 4 (2 teenagers) and a dog had an awesome time in this cabin! Janet is a wonderful host and treated us like family. She gave us as much privacy as we wanted, but she is a hoot and we invited her to a grilled fish dinner one evening on her deck. We also enjoyed several Bon fires with her and another friend. The drive up CR5 is charming with little to no traffic, which was awesome. Road is maintained, no prob for 2 wheel drive. As we drove up her aspen-lined road, it opened up to her Beautiful cabin. The apartment is very charming, sqeaky clean, and comfortable. It had everything we needed. I enjoyed my coffee every morning at the top of the stairs while watching dozens of hummingbirds come to the feeder. We are a fishing family and there are many lakes to choose from within a 30 mile radius. Easy to get to. Of course shopping in Dillon and Breckinridge is close too, which my teenage daughter liked! The views from the cabin are everything to be expected in the mountains. Looked like a painting. We stayed a week, and have been home a few days and I already miss that place. Great value. Book it!"

"My family of 5 just stayed in this Mountain home. Private location with amazing views. The home was exceptionally clean when we arrived. There was plenty of space for our family. The home is well stocked with games for all ages. The hot tub was working beautifully and clean. The kitchen was well stocked with spices, utensils, pots and pans etc. Past renters have left condiments and storage supplies as well. We grocery shopped in Fairplay. They had pretty much everything we needed with reasonable prices. There is also a great tap house in Fairplay with local brews. We used American Safari Ranch for horseback riding. This is just a few miles away and they did a great job. We also drove though Como up to Boreas Pass. There is a great hike up to the Saddle with amazing views. We drove the remainder of the pass to Breckenridge to finish up the day and have dinner. Highly recommended for a day trip. Excellent hiking in Buena Vista as well.
I did send Amy several messages with questions. She was excellent to work with and responded very promptly. We would definitely use this property again."

"I'm not much for doing reviews but I felt like this place deserves another 5 star review I looked all over for a place to get away with my wife of 30 years. We both needed peace and quiet but she also needs to get her shop on. I hit the jack pot when I found the Willis retreat. After the second day of our stay she looked at me and said she was over relaxed, I've never heard her say that. The following day we went to Breckenridge so she could shop. Some people from back home told us to avoid it and some people said we had to go there. Yeah there's tourist trap stores there but there's also some cool stores that have locally made stuff , all in all it's a pretty cool place. All of the other reviews were the deciding factor for booking the Willis Retreat and all I can say to the Willis family is Thanks for letting us stay there. I highly recommend the Willis Retreat"

"Bernie and his wife are the best! The apartment is the basement for his home and, honestly, is one of best in appearance. Bernie's home is incredible already, but the apartment is incredible too. Plenty of space for us. Cell service is good and Wi-Fi is good. Everything you need for an awesome stay. The view goes right into the woods, so you have privacy. If you hike, you are in the middle of the best hiking around. Best of all, the price is more than right. We will definitely return.
Side note: The food in town is pretty good. Try Millonzi's Italian."
