  • Wonderful Time

"We all enjoyed our stay at Walton Cottage. Our 3 grandchildren loved the animals, the area to roam and the zipline. Great location for all our sightseeing. Cottage was clean as in pictures. Hot tub was a bonus"

  • Perfect family retreat

"My family stayed in the Chalets at the Tudor Rose in early August. It was a wonderful and refreshing time. Located just 1 mile outside Salida, it's on a mountainside and very secluded. The chalets are widely spaced and arranged at angles to each other, so the sense of privacy is excellent and lets you enjoy the landscape views. We had plenty of space and the unit was clean and well equipped. Both dogs and horses are welcome, and we enjoyed seeing both there. There are several paddocks as well as an off-leash dog area well away from the other livestock. The access to town is really nice when you are cooking in a new place. We could quickly run errands if needed and not burn 1/2 a day doing it. There is no dishwasher, but all other appliances are available including coffee maker and microwave. The master bedroom is downstairs with a spacious two-sink vanity and walk-in shower. The loft has two queen beds and a large full bath. We enjoyed rafting, fishing, hiking and napping during our one-week stay. We'll definitely be back and I've already referred several people to this great place."

  • Wonderful cabin and location

"We enjoyed a week in July at Timberline and it is everything and more than depicted in this site. The view is fantastic with several seating areas, a grill for great dinners and the hot tub is fantastic after a long day of activities in the mountains. The interior of the cabin is both comfortable and tastefully decorated in true mountain spirit. The kitchen is large with newer applicances and great for families. Brenda has everything taken care from clean linens to a large supply of kitchen utensils for those who like to cook like myself. The lower level is great for kids with a pool table/air hockey table, movies and a TV. The upstairs seating area in the loft is perfect for reading at night or checking emails (ugh) if you must. We used to live in Denver and love the Alma location for it's seclusion but close proximity to so many outdoor activities in greater South Park. It is also close to Breck for daily excursions or a nice meal out on the town. This was our first VRBO experience and it could not have been better. My son and I went fly fishing, and the whole family enjoyed white water rafting, hiking, horseback riding etc. etc."

  • Nice, large place

"Overall the cabin was great and the experience we had was good. Very spacious and pretty clean for a cabin. Nice location. Owners are fairly easy to deal with, although I recommend an itemized receipt for when you rent this place as the math never made any sense to any of us. The price overall was reasonable and we needed the vacation so we didn't make a big deal out of it. Also, be prepared to not get your deposit back. Apparently, it is just an additional fee to rent the cabin. Probably should just increase the nightly fee instead of calling this charge a deposit. We did a lot of fishing and there is decent fishing right below the cabin. There is a big, deep hole about 50 yards or so upstream with huge fish. Unfortunately, the neighbors across the river feed these fish which was pretty disappointing. Most of these fish have no desire to even look at your fly. Overall, good place. Very relaxing and would rent again."
