"This was our first stay in Colorado, and we will definitely be going back. The house was beautifully spacious, with enough space for us and our 15-year old to enjoy. The tub was great, and the views to die for: trees everywhere, and the piney smell was marvelous. It rained most afternoons when we were there, so we read a lot and spent time watching movies in the afternoons and evenings. We discovered several places: McGinty's in Divide for lunch or dinner--their signature McGinty Melt Sandwich is a must (we went back again just for that darned sandwich). The Woodland Park Library was a lovely place where we borrowed a few books and movies and enjoyed chatting with the librarians. Although we bought most of our supplies at Whole Foods in Colorado Springs (per another reviewer's suggestion), we could have saved some time (and money) had we stuck to the Safeway and Walmart stores in Woodland Park: Walmart for staples, and Safeway for their bread and delicatessen department (we will know next time). The Colorado Wolf and Wildlife Center was a must, too: we booked a photo session and left with great photographs of wolves kissing us; as animal lovers, it was a memorable and most enjoyable visit. Since our 15-year old is a competitive swimmer, we also visited the United States Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs--as our swimmer said, it was "awesome." Our tour guide, Bob, told us that Michael Phelps was in the Center training the day before, so we were bummed out we were not able to visit with him (he also said that Missy Franklin was there training a month earlier--obviously, we should have planned our trip better!). The Donut Mill for their doughnuts and ice cream, and the Andrews Candies store for their Pumpkin Spice Brittle, were also wonderful finds in Woodland Park. We visited Joanie's Deli in Woodland Park: the food was good, though not plentiful, and for the amount of money we spent on two sandwiches and two very small sides, we could have gotten twice as much food at McGinty's. The trip was relaxing. We are looking forward to coming back to one of Brad and Laura's houses and further exploring the area."
