  • Love it!

"Excellent location to forget about your everyday life! Very quiet peaceful and relaxing for all ages. Property is perfect for family hikes down to the Fountain creek, exploring and collecting pine cones. Fire pit in backyard helped us to make the perfect s'mores! House was well furnished and equipped with everything we needed for a pleasurable stay. Quick drive down the road to beautiful views of Green Mountain Falls Lake and Pikes Peak. Would love to return in warmer weather to explore this location further. We saw snow 2 different times and with the aspen trees in full color it was beautiful. We took a trail along Fountain Creek to the lake with a bunch of Moms-N-Paps local restaurants surrounding the lake. We also went into Manitou and rode the train (cog-rail). We saw 5 deer, a fox, several ground squirrels and chipmunks and several different types of birds by the property. The cabin again was clean and made us feel right at home. We hope to return in the near future. Highly recommended property for a family vacation."

  • The Cozy Cottage Was Tremendous

"My family spent 5 nights in this cottage in Leadville and we had the best vacation - ever. The cottage is clean and roomy enough for 6 of us to be very comfortable. The kitchen was great, we had several family meals together. The laundry was great, we were able to minimize the clothing we needed to pack. The bathroom, shower - all good. Grill on the back patio - - how can you go wrong? We used the Mineral Belt Trail (2 blocks from the cottage) many times, walked downtown for a few meals and general sightseeing. We launched our other adventures from this very convenient location as well; Turquoise Lake is 6 miles down the road, Mt. Elbert trailhead is 10 miles down the road, BV and whitewater rafting was 30 miles down the road. The neighbors were friendly, the view of the continental divide is fabulous, you can see the two highest peaks in the state from the back patio - - I could go on. Leadville gives off a cool vibe that I found attractive - - it has all the views and activities that a Vail and Aspen would have without the pretension. I saw a bumper sticker that said it all: "Leadville - We're Here Because We're Not All There." If you've got Wall Street money and want to stay at the InterContinental, that is awesome, do that. If you're a regular guy like me who adheres to the " as the Romans do..." mantra, rent this house."

  • Fun in the Fall!

"My husband and I spent two nights here with some close friends (two other couples) to enjoy the fun of the Manitou Springs Coffin Races. This is not the first time we have stayed here and as always everything was clean and well kept. We had beautiful weather and were able to walk downtown to join in the festivities. The fall leaves were fabulous. Manitou Springs was packed with people. It was a good time. We cooked meals in the well equipped kitchen and curled up on the cozy couches with popcorn and movies in the evening. Relaxing on the porch overlooking the creek was a treat. I highly recommend this beautiful home for an escape."

  • Crestone Getaway

"House was perfect for our family gathering. Roomy and well furnished. Very clean and had gorgeous views both front and back. About 1 hour from Great Sand Dunes and Penetente Canyon, both of which were great. Thanks so much."
