WOW! This is a beautiful place that puts you close to all the great things Colorado has to offer!
"To say we were pleased with the cabin would be a huge understatement. This was a trip of a lifetime and we will be coming back very soon!
The cabin itself is very comfy and accommodating. It was perfect for just my wife and I but it would also be just as perfect if we had brought our two kids (12 and 7) and large dog with us. The cabin has everything you need to cook (bring your own consumables), play games (board games galore and crochet), watch classic movies or simply sitting on the porch and healing the mind body and soul.
The property is well shaded with a small yard in the front to hang out and prepare for your adventure packed days. It is attached to the main house so this may not be the place for a bunch of rowdy teens to have their party fueled getaway but it is a perfect place for a family, couple, writer, painter, day dreamer or adventure seeker.
The location made it perfect for us to do and see so much in our 5 days. I won't bore you with all majestic details of our trip but it is worth pointing out that we were able to see the Garden of the Gods, Royal Gorge by Train, Pikes Peak by Car, Cave of the Winds, Cripple Creek for some gambling and a tour of the mine, Maintou Springs for a hot spring spa treatment and St Mary's Glacier. These were all done by making day trips. We were able to wake up, have breakfast, pack some lunch, go do our touristy stuff and be back to make dinner and hang out for the evening. Even the longer drives seem to go so quick with all the wildlife and beauty so don't be afraid to plan that day trip to the National Sand Dunes (we didn't and that is the one thing we regret not doing).
A couple recommendations: Make sure to leave your windows open if you are going during the warmer months. The mountain air is refreshing and healing. Also, leave your bottle water in the car. The well water is delicious.
Thank you Lenni and Don for an amazing time (and for the flowers and card as well)!"

"My group and I stayed at the house during the first week of November. The house was clean, organized, accommodating, and just as pictured. There were plenty of towels and even extra travel sized items in the bathroom.
They seem to really care about your stay and thought of everything to make you comfortable. Lots of condiments in the fridge, pots and pans, silverware, etc.
The house was very central to everything our group wanted to do and see, but far enough away to make it more of a private getaway. They also have the app really nicely updated to include Things To Do, which was extremely helpful. Like I said, they really spent a lot of time to make the entire experience great. If we ever visit CO again, we will definitely stay here again.
We really appreciate you allowing us to stay at your home. Thank you!!"

"The house is HUGE, the location is perfect, and the owner is great to work with. Besides that, the furniture and the bedding, towels, etc. are of unexpected high quality for a rental. Although the bedrooms/bathrooms have sort of a strange layout, the charm of the house outweighs any negatives. The owner offers many extras -- a bottle of wine, games, speakers/ipod docks, plus lots of info on local attractions. Hoping this first visit won't be our last!"

We loved the property! Perfect for our family with 4 couples and 2 little ones.
"The house has 4 large bedrooms, each with a private bath. It was perfect for our family. Each couple had their own space - privacy and no bathroom sharing. The master suite is huge - including its own fireplace. There was plenty of room to spread out - a large family room with TV, 2 dining areas, a huge sun room (which I believe can be used as another bedroom?), formal living area plus the game room and movie theater downstairs. We spent 2 evenings in the movie theater. The property manger sent someone out the first afternoon to assemble the crib for our infant. It is about a 30 minute drive into Manitou Springs, the zoo, and several other attractions in the area, but the property was worth the drive. We did have a little trouble keeping the house at the right temperature - it warmed up in the afternoon as the west sun shines into the large family room and the A/C couldn't keep up. It got cool enough in the evenings that we used the fireplaces in the morning to warm up. There are grocery stores, a Walmart and several other stores within 10 minutes for supplies. The kitchen as fairly well stocked with dishes, silverware and cooking utensils. There are 2 ovens and a microwave if you are cooking for a crowd. The property is very private on a nice, large wooded lot. It also has a 3 car garage and they did provide a garage door opener. The internet/Wifi worked well and there was a computer on site, but we travel with our own laptops and had little trouble logging on. We did end up using Yelp to find local restaurants as we didn't find any flyers or recommendations in the house. Colorado Springs is a fun town with lots to do, some great restaurants and this house was a perfect place to stay."
